Due to their complex structure and near constant use, foot problems can be highly debilitating and challenging to treat. Even the most minor issue can severely limit a person's mobility and have a major impact on their quality of life.
Regardless of the cause, most foot injuries and deformities are initially treated using a conservative approach with rest, corrective shoes, inserts, orthotics, and immobilization as well as anti-inflammatory and pain medications. When unique conditions require, corrective actions can be taken.

For mild cases of athletes foot, there are many over the counter antifungal creams, powders, and sprays. In general, you should wear shoes that allow better air circulation such as leather. Also, cotton socks that absorb moisture can help deter fungi from multiplying. If symptoms don't improve with the use of store bought products, then prescription oral antifungal medications may be needed.
A nail fungus infection (onychomycosis) is a medical condition that leaves many people embarrassed about the appearance of their feet. Left untreated, a toenail fungus virtually never goes away on its own and can eat away at the toenail, nail bed and matrix. If you are tired of fighting toenail fungus, request an appointment online or call Coastal Podiatry & Wound Care at (904) 265-0470 to learn more about treatments for fungal infections.
Plantar warts which grow on the soles of your feet usually don't require treatment and go away on their own. Treatment is necessary though if they are causing pain or spreading. There are different medical treatment options for removing warts including cryotherapy, cantharidin, immunotherapy, imiquimod, minor surgery, and laser treatment.

What a horrible experience for both me and my mother. The doctor is a very poor communicator; doesn't seem to listen to what is being said. He seems to immediately want to do surgery for the tiniest of issues. His assistants are incredibly rude and inhospitable. And the wait time to be seen was unacceptable. Go elsewhere fast.

Worst experience with an office staff ever! That is huge coming from me. I was going to speak to the office manager but she is on vacation until next week..and I'm not okay in the slightest with my past three visits. I have never left a review about a dr or drs office that was completely negative. I deal with multiple doctors everyday as I have alot of medical conditions including cancer. Alot of the doctors in my life havent been the best, but I've never said anything negative about them. I also dont think the doctor at this practice is bad, but u will most likely only see him once..its the staff
