I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away.
This is the stop I make when ever I am in the mood for pizza while in the Utica area. They have a great crust good sauce and they always do a nice amount of toppings. Atmosphere is that of a nice pizza place.
I have had a few salads from here as well and they are always good even if they are a little pricey they give you a good size portion.
The only real knock I have is that wait times can be a little long but these days all restaurants seemed to be short staffed so it's just

Was not worth the cost.
Antipasta was $12.95 with very little meat. It was more like a side salad.
We ordered a calzone with 2 additional toppings ($12.95). I bet there wasn't a total of 3/4 cup of ingredients in it, mostly dough. I understand prices have gone up but quality and quantity shpuld not go down! Will not return.

Continuing my search for amazing lasagna... when I'm looking for crave worthy dishes I tend to gravitate towards older establishments or smaller "mom & pop" places. This place seems really cool like that!
I called in my order to go. The staff taking my order was nice & friendly. I knew ordering lasagna usually takes a little longer than some orders but she made sure to not set me up for disappointment and politely told me that it would be about 25-30 minutes to be ready- no problem!

I will start by saying that these guys are probably one of the best places to eat Italian food in Utica. That's saying a lot too, seeing that there are so many italian restaurants in this town. Their pizzas are great but their dinners are even better! Try the chicken Parmesan or chicken Florentine, you won't be disappointed!

Since the place is so busy and the parking lot is so full, I sometimes pass by the place in the interest of greater calm. But I miss the chicken riggies so much and I just *have* to go back! The outside line was long last night because of the "take-out only" COVID virus rules, but those riggies were worth the wait. Lots of Utica restaurants make riggies, but no one does it better than the Venice. I promised myself that I'm going to get back there more often, no matter how busy the place is. This place is a Utica treasure!

I think we came here with high hopes having heard great things..so I'm going to say maybe we came on an off-day or we ordered the wrong things..
Hypes:
- Good place to come eat with seating. The place is busy so you know it has good food, and it has its regulars. We came here after having a few reccomend it
- Sandwiches - We got the steak and greens - which was good. Everyone seemed to be eating sandwiches around us so I'm assuming thats what we should be ordering next time.
Gripes:
- Pizza - supposedly this was the best in Utica...but I've had better in the area. Not enough sauce

Been coming to Venice for years. The pizza and subs are what they are known for, but I have not had a bad meal experience here. The antipasto and chicken riggies were above average. The dining room ambiance can get very loud and the servers come out of the kitchen yelling the dish that they need to serve to a particular table, which can get rather annoying if it's busy. I wish they would change that method somehow. Anyway, there is now a bar and the restaurant has expanded, as it needed to. Ok if this is the best of Utica? Wow! I waited over 1 hr and 15 minutes to get served an half order of their Chicken Riggies and Greens? Riggies came stone cold and the greens, umm NO! This tasted like it come out of a jar of store bought vodka sauce ! Listened to the locals , usually good, this time no!

Finally found a go-to place for chicken riggies! They are generous with the contents. It's not just mostly pasta like some places, and the flavor and sauce consistency is very good. I thought it looked like it had little meatballs all over it, until I realized they were nice little whole button mushrooms. The full order is enough for 2 people. I weighed it when I got home before I dug in. It was over 3 lbs! I got a "mini" sub too, and when they handed it to me, I thought it was a mistake, because there was nothing "mini" about it (see picture) and it weighed about a pound and a half. I sampled

Found this place on a suggestion (heard it has the best chicken riggies around) and made it a point to stop here when I was in Utica for work. I don't know about the "best anywhere" claim, but Venice has good food and I managed to get a second meal here.
The riggies: very flavorful sauce -- the 'hot' option is pretty hot. Thought the dish was a little light on the chicken, but let's be serious: that's the worst part of chicken riggies. The pasta was cooked properly, the sauce (not red sauce, by the way, which doesn't belong anywhere near riggies) was fantastic

Ordered my large cheese pizza and it was one of the best ny style pizza around. Everything about it was perfect, enough sauce and cheese, not greasy and the most important to me, not soggy. On Tuesday's and Wednesday's they have the large cheese pizza for $10, absolutely worth it. The only down fall is they do not deliver so you have to pick it up.
