This vet office is awesome! The vet & his staff are the nicest & they really do care about your pets. My daughter referred us to Canal Animal Hospital & they are as great as she described.

Dr. Jay Butan has been taking care of my pets needs for over 15 years and I cannot say enough about the amazing care he and his staff have given us over the years. They are truly family and I feel blessed to have them in our lives!!

The people are great at Canal. They really care for the animals and always take the time needed to help the people bringing them in understand what’s really going on with their little buddies.

All of the above boxes checked because, for once, they all apply! I love the fact that this clinic is family owned/operated. Dr Butan is such a caring vet-tell me of another vet that actually calls personally to check up on your animal after surgery (the day after surgery and even on Sunday for an update on how your "baby" is doing)??!! You simply do not see that sort of personal commitment in this day and age. I cannot recommend this animal clinic highly enough. The are the BEST!

Due to a move, I needed a new veterinarian, and I was worried because I'd been seeing my previous vet for twenty years. I was extremely encouraged with the service I received at Canal Animal Hospital. Dr. Butan explanations are thorough and easy to understand. The staff is friendly and accomodating too!

Took my 2 cats here for a check up and shots and the staff and doc were great with them. One is particularly skittish and they handled her great. I can see why folks recommend them.

I’ve been taking my dog to canal since I moved to Florida 4 years ago, and will never go anywhere else. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. Last week my dog, blue, had a scary health episode, doc and his staff fit us in immediately, we’re so attentive and made me feel so at ease. Doc checked in on blue multiple times afterwards, and that kind of care is something you don’t find often. I’ll always recommend canal!

I have taken my dog to Dr. Jay for the past 14 years. She has the usual health issues of a Chihuahua but a few times she has required extra care. There is no one in the entire staff who is not friendly and completely understanding in regards to the fact that she is our baby. Dr. Jay has always personally called me if he felt she needed a treatment… and took the time to fully explain what the problem was and how his suggested treatment would help. Dr. Jay is very upfront about the cost of a procedure and at times has shown empathy at the unexpected cost. I would never choose a Veterinarian

It was so special for the staff to listen to my concerns about working with Manon, an older rescue cat. The vet came out, and answered my questions. This was my second visit. Last week it was the rescue Tuxedo kittens Figaro & Papagana. Next week is my old standard poodle, Jezza.
I have used many vets, mostly as specialists, in Palm Beach County.
I can highly recommend this clinic for its caring, knowlegable staff.

I started bringing both of my pets here during the pandemic and they are absolutely amazing!! Always going above and beyond and never trying to “sell” me unnecessary services or products. Only the best care and the staff is always professional and friendly. Highly recommend!!! My animals love them and I am so grateful for them all.

I took my 17 year old cat in because I thought he had an infection in his mouth. I was terrified to get his teeth cleaned because of his age, but his quality of life was suffering, his mouth was stinky, and he was in pain. Everyone at Canal Animal Hospital was so caring and professional. Kiki Man had 13 teeth extracted and, thank goodness I took him in, he was found to have thyroid issues. After getting a referral to treat his thyroid condition, 4 weeks later my 17 year old cat that I thought was on his last life is a brand new kitty! And bonus, his mouth doesn't smell like rotting garbage anymore

Truly the best vet around. Dr. Butan and staff genuinely show how much they love and care. Their expertise is heads and 'tails' above other vets we have used in the past.

I am the mom of two pittie rescues and am so thankful to have Dr. Butan and staff there to help me when my furry friends are not feeling well. The team is super caring and, unlike some doctors, Dr. Butan is super patient and willing to answer my worries in such a caring and thoughtful way. If you are looking for a great clinic to care for your furry friends, this is the place to go!

Canal is the absolute best ! The most caring staff, Dr Butan is wonderfully knowledgable and kind; everyone is like family. My fur baby Jinji wags her tail like nobody's business every time we pull up and can't wait to see all of her friends. We feel so fortunate to have found Canal and to have been under their excellent loving care since 2007. Can't recommend highly enough. And Sheena at the front desk is a rock star !!

Everyone at Canal is top notch! The very best . I’ve been going to Dr. Butan since 1988! Just about the entire staff has been with him all along. That says a lot about him.,

We love our vet and the staff. The office staff is very friendly and always go the extra mile to make sure me and “my girls” are happy. They make sure my toddler feels special and give him treats to feed the office pets. They even find his furry friends in back and bring them out so he can pet them and say hello if they aren’t in the front office area. He asks to go visit just to hang out with the cats and staff. I am really very happy with Dr. Butan and all the girls who work there. If you call speak with Sheena, she’s amazing.

What a wonderful caring vet. Jay and his entire staff go above and beyond to comfort and help not only his patients get well but their owners too. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

If you are “shopping” for a vet in the area, stop shopping! Canal animal hospital is the best!!! My daughter and I have been coming for years. Dr. Bhutan AND staff are competent and as important SO COMPASSIONATE. I would not go anywhere else.
