Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., is a family owned and operated funeral home. Bruce and Kathy Ironside have tried to create a "home-like" feel in their funeral home. Every aspect of the business has been about family and embracing a family atmosphere and values. Bruce is the head of the operation and the face of the business.
Kathy is the "mom" and makes sure all the little details are taken care of. Their daughter, Michelle, followed in her father's footsteps and is also a licensed funeral director. Their son, James, although he chose a different career path, a PGA professional, helps out around the business and the yard when he's not on the golf course.

Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. was established in November of 1986. Bruce M. Ironside purchased the facility from Edward McDaniels who had opened the funeral home in 1980.

When my mother passed away recently, our family received excellent care and service from Bruce Ironside and Michelle Ironside Kinville. They walked us through all the planning, never pushing yet always attentive to details. I appreciate all the little things they thought of that we were clueless about.Every step of the way, we were treated with thoughtful care and compassion. My father's comment, when services were complete: "That could not have gone any better. Just perfect." Bruce and Michelle were kind, patient, understanding and compassionate as they handled the pre-planning, the actual arrangements, and the services around our mother's death. Our families went way back and, though Mom had moved away from her hometown more than 30 years ago, she chose Ironside for their well-deserved reputation. They helped to make a difficult time much less so.

My wife died recently and the Ironside Funeral home took care of the arrangements from the funeral Mass to the graveside to the grave stone which included an afternoon of visitation and condolences. My children and I were extremely pleased for the compassionate and professional way it was conducted. The handling of the details went beyond what was expected. It was very well organized form beginning to end . The staff did an excellent job for which my family and I were very thankful.
