We've passed this place many times over the last 9 years. On a coastal trip we decided to lodge here on the first night. Absolutely worth it. Management is the most down to earth person you could ever meet and the ladies that run the place are very friendly and welcoming. It is our new getaway place. I've posted pictures before but here are a few new pictures of this little gem 💎

If you're looking for Bigfoot I'm pretty sure he lives upstairs at Hiouchi Motel. I heard him stomping around all night.

Cute, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Nothing fancy but everything you need. Super friendly and helpful staff. It has a soul, and it's clear that those who run it, really care about it and their guests.

Basic motel with everything done right. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were nice. Plenty of towels with more available. TV, microwave, refrigerator all worked. Very friendly. Fire pit and chairs, and they will build the fire for you. Restaurant next door had great breakfasts. Gas station and market across the road. We will be back.

We were really late checking in but as soon as we pulled up Lacey had already walked down to the office to check us in. A great location to make it to the redwoods the next morning! Really nice people. We will stay here again whenever our travels bring us back this way.

Clean, casual, reasonably priced motel. The staff could not be more friendly & accommodating. If we are in this area from Michigan again, we will stay here.

Motel is old, but fairly recently remodeled (nicely!). It was clean, and mostly comfortable. One of our beds needed to be replaced, it was pretty uncomfortable. The other bed was good and the finishes and things were great. Management also nice. It was a bit pricey, but it was a July Saturday night.....

This was the perfect spot for our large group of 18. We had a long day of travels and adventures & Kevin waited for us to get there late and was so accommodating. We even built a fire and sat around to just chill a little bit before we ended the day. The rooms were nice, clean & smelled good!! Make sure and go to the Cafe next door, great breakfast to start your day plus you get a discount if you stay at the motel. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved the staff there, the front desk guy was friendly. My kids loved playing in the grassy area and we used the fire pit at night. My friends rooms smelled nice but my room smelled very dank. Like a grow house, pretty overwhelming. Otherwise everything was great. Safe, clean, good spot for visiting the redwoods.

I love that the room was simple, fresh, and exceptionally clean - exactly what I want in a roadside motel! The staff was super friendly too.
The flooring and bathroom seemed very new, and there was no carpeting (which I loved - so much cleaner). The walls also seemed freshly painted. I never heard any of the other guests. It felt calm and cozy.
I stayed on the end closest to the highway, and I could hear some road noise, but it wasn’t terrible.
Traveled solo and felt very safe. The price was great. I will definitely be back!
