Services
Fully clothed 60 minute compression session geared towards deep relaxation, settling the nervous system, and working out muscle tension. This is wonderful for people with anxiety, stress, and who are sensitive to touch or skin stimulation. This is a subtle hands-on-body technique that works with the soft tissue, the central nervous system, and the electromagnetic field of the body.
Sunlighten saunas use infrared heat instead of hot rocks or steam used in traditional saunas. Traditional saunas heat the air at extremely high temperatures which can make the experience unbearably hot and difficult to breathe. Because infrared heats the body directly instead of simply heating the air, infrared saunas are seven times more effective for detoxification.
Meta Physica Wellness Center is located at the corner of Bagley and Trumbull in Corktown at 1701 Trumbull Ave., Suite 3, Detroit, MI 48216. Free street parking is available. HOURS: Services are by appointment only. Feel free to swing by to pick up a wellness product or say hi, but if it is close to closing time, please call to make sure we are open.
Due to Meta Physica being a small space that serves many immune-compromised individuals we are requiring masks for all employees and clients during massages and in common spaces. Masks are not required in the private saunas or shower. We have HEPA filters throughout the space to help increase air flow and we are committed to keeping staff/clients safe as the Delta variant continues to surge throughout the country.

I am ABSOLUTELU ELATED that they are back open! I cannot recommend this place enough! They have so many cool modalities that you can't find anywhere else (at least in the tri-county area); their sauna is always a necessary experience. They have a raw juice bar, great products for sale and their customer service has always been ELITE! Had an initial appointment at this location. Upon entering i was impressed with atmosphere. The scents, the ambiance was very enjoyable.
My acupuncturist was very professional. Her name is Monique. I felt well taken care of. The room was warm and cozy. I left with actionable tips for mental, physical and spiritual wellness.
I'm not sure the overall benefits yet of acupuncture but this was a good 1st appointment.

I’ve been going here for about 2 years now, and it’s truly wonderful. I’ve worked with both Corina and Chaka, and both have been experts in their respective skill sets. On Friday I had an appointment with Corina and she used a combination of traditional massage, myofascial work, cupping and trigger point work to release years of issues with my left shoulder - nothing will be solved in a single session but the difference in these last 48 hours is truly surprising. Can’t recommend the place enough - and always on time, friendly, and welcoming. And it’s okay if you’re not super “holistic”

Another Wonderful must stop for the massage of your life. Chaka has magic fingers and is by far the best deep tissue massage I've ever had, and I get regular massages for my stress & anxiety....
They also have a fantastic smoothie and frozen smoothie drinks. Along with great natural shots of pure health..Love the staff and the owner a very special young lady...will be back everytime I'm in town..

This is the best massage I've had in my life. I went for the raindrop technique massage. The oils they used cleared my sinuses, and the massage obviously released a lot of toxicity from my body. I felt tired after the massage and got up feeling light headed. My body felt like gummy and soooo relaxed. Thank you Pamela for such a great massage and thank you Meta Physica for being such a professional and clean establishment. I will return.

Amazing experience. Staff is super friendly and services are priced reasonably. I got a craniosacral massage with Crystal and then immediately booked a follow-up because it was so enjoyable. It’s relaxing and rejuvenating! Definitely worth checking out. Also, they’ve got an awesome juice and smoothie bar 😊

Such a great experience! Meta Physica Wellness Center is impeccably clean, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and the vibe is very zen and tranquil. We did IR sauna for the first time and are totally hooked! Corktown isn’t close but we will definitely be making the trip there on a regular basis! Ps their tigers eye smoothie is to die for!

I have had three deep tissue massages with three different massage therapists at Meta Physica. Each one was professional and personable. They were knowledgable and prepared to deploy their expertise to heal my mother-of-toddlers aches and pains. The service here is wonderful, and the environment is sumptuous. I call it my cocoon of happiness to be on that massage table under their care.
