Services
In 2008, after 15 years in practice we decided to start something new. We wanted families to have a different kind of experience in the office: comfortable, welcoming, family-focused care that empowers parents and children to take control of their health and wellness.

We have built an amazing team of pediatricians, nurse practitioners, RNs, MAs, billing and front office staff as well as a lactation specialist all dedicated to partnering with you to provide top notch care in a non-traditional setting.I am the Executive Director and non-physician co-founder of Birmingham Pediatrics + Wellness Center.
If you live within the boundaries of our home visit area, you're most likely eligible for a visit! Call us when you are getting ready to come home from the hospital (as soon as you are discharged). Set up your home visit for the upcoming Tuesday or Friday morning if your baby has had a routine hospital course.
Our well visits cover more than the basics. We discuss nutrition, exercise, cognitive and social development at all ages and we help you maximize your child's health and avoid common problems before they become problems. We also do blood draws right in the office and we offer lactation consults. We have walk-in hours in the late afternoon every day and in the early morning on Mondays - so when your children are sick, we're available to help.
We understand that all parents want only the best for their children and make decisions that they feel are in their child's best interest. At times, however, we don't agree with the choices parents make and the decision not to vaccinate is one decision we can no longer passively accept. Whooping cough, chicken pox and now measles have returned with increasing prevalence and the day-to-day risk of exposure is real.
During regular business hours, our medical advice line is always available for common questions. Do you want to know the best way to handle an illness at home - or do you want to know if you need to come in? Call 248.816.2558 and our experts will let you know. If the office is closed and you have a medically urgent question, please call 248.816.2558 and press 8 to hear the contact number for the provider on call.
