We will take our time to ensure that you're getting everything you need out of each visit without keeping you in the salon any longer than you need to be.

I was born and raised here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Growing up, my biggest influencer was my Mom. I watched my (unlicensed) mother doing hair in the kitchen for anyone that would sit there and allow it. I admired her natural talent, her personal style and the knack she had for styling women's hair.
The manager of 1322 and a stylist who's behind the chair a couple days a week specializing in women's hair cutting. She enjoys doing big or small transformations, and through good consultation, offers easy-to-wear haircuts that fit not only your lifestyle, but your head.
Deb embraces and encourages you to accept your natural hair color and texture if you are ready and interested, she's happy to help make a future plan to move in that direction when you are.Deb offers simple grey root coverage if desired, and suggests others in house for highlighting services. Maloree Mann is a miracle worker!! After a really bad / botched highlight at another salon, Maloree completely transformed my look and my hair after just one session. The previous stylist had essentially dumped bleach at the top of my head, and my roots were bright yellow / orange with darker orange ends. Maloree tested a few different colors on me first and was extremely thorough in asking about what I wanted and looking at photos together. She did an all-over color with gorgeous natural-looking balayage highlights and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! I will absolutely be booking a follow up appointment

It was my first time at Salon 1322 and I had made an appointment with Lindy. I've always had a bad experience at the previous salons I've been to, and never ended up with the result I wanted or more breakage. I wanted to go lighter, but also prioritize the health of my hair and Lindy did just that. She was super nice and considerate of what I wanted. Even though my hair was lightened, it came out A LOT healthier than what I came in with before. I highly recommend this salon if you are thinking about going lighter. :)

I requested a very specific service. I was quoted.m and given a time frame for which it would be completed. I arrived and was told I would only receive a portion of that service (for the same price). When the apt was supposed to be done, the service was incomplete, and they told me to complete it I would have to pay an extra $200. So I walked out that day spending $200 more than I was quoted, only get a SMALL portion of what I was originally told could be completed by original price. Unethical, and I didn't even get what I asked for. Nice staff though

I hardly ever leave reviews but I just had to sing James V's praises!! I've never had a stylist that specifically specializes in long thick hair cuts and styles. Not only did he design a custom cut that suited my face shape and hair texture but he went the extra mile to teach me tips on how to keep my hair salon fresh. I can't recommend him enough for us people with long, thick, and sometimes unmanageable hair. P.s. his time management and conversation was INCREDIBLE

When I decide to stop dyeing my hair I was committed to embracing the grey look but not patient with the grow out process. After 4 months and only 3" of growth I couldn't stand it anymore and started search for a color specialist to help me with an "instant" transformation. Luckily I found Stephanie Eastman at Salon 1322! Stephanie shepherded me through the multi step process with confidence and I am thrilled with the results! I recently moved to the Bay Area from Mississippi and one of the first things I did was look for a stylist. As soon as I saw Salon 1322 I was smitten! The shop itself was beautiful and it seemed very inviting. While reading through the stylists' bios, I was immediately drawn to Maloree Munn. My hair needed to be revived again after a full year of not being back at a salon. We just moved to the area and I had previous highlights done and they've already grown out and just looking horrible. I looked up this place and the whole booking process was so easy! Fast forward to my appointment day... met Maloree and she was so nice and welcoming! This salon is my new favorite. I love the positivity and joy that all the staff bring to their jobs. James cut my hair and did an incredible job. I went from long and tired-looking hair to short and super cute. I trusted him with the cut and feel SOOO happy with the outcome. Yesterday was my second time going to Salon 1322 to see Jackie to touch up the beautiful Balyage she did the first time around. I had initially come in after a friend recommended me to her and I can't imagine going elsewhere for my coloring needs.
I had never really colored my hair prior to this so it was helpful when Jackie explained the process, the need for maintenance and the ins and outs of what it takes to keep my hair looking good.

I have been going to 1322 since I moved to the Bay Area a couple years ago! I always enjoy my haircut, Kerastasse treatment, product recommendations, and time with the stylists. I usually go to Katie, but went to James today. Everything is clean and spaced out, so I have felt safe since they were able to reopen last year. The outdoor patio was so nice as well! I highly reccommend going here for your future hair needs!

Update: I returned to the salon to start the process of embodying my gray hair and balancing out the brass. When I arrived I was welcomed so warmly! I felt like I had been a customer for years--how nice! Deb was so kind and knew there was a point I was getting cold feet :) Genevieve greeted me with so much enthusiasm and joy. Both Genevieve and Deb had consulted about my plan before I arrived. I felt so understood and supported!

Thought I'd treat myself after years of not getting a haircut and it was totally worth it! James was the hairstylist I got and he did such an amazing job with my hair. Plus he's super sweet and funny! The entire staff was very welcoming and nice to me when I arrived, and that made me feel very comfortable.

It had been 20 months since my last haircut and after being fully vaccinated, I decided it was time! This sad, sad hair of mine needed a reboot, stat. Deb was super responsive over text as soon as they received my request and I was able to get in the same day! My experience at Salon 1322 was absolutely lovely. As soon as you step through those doors, the vibe is bright (all those beautiful lights!), upbeat and unpretentiously luxurious. The covid check-in process is easy, you just check-in on their iPad and there's hand sanitizer right there for your use.

I had been putting off getting my hair done for awhile because I was nervous about COVID. But I wanted to get a cut and style before my engagement photos, and decided to try Salon 1322 for the first time. I felt completely at ease from the moment I arrived at the salon. The check-in process was very safe, and they are adamant about limiting the amount of people inside the salon. After checking in on the iPad outside of the salon, Deb came to take my temperature and bring me to my chair. That being said, I couldn't find the time to color my hair in about a year and a half; so my roots had a year and a half worth of growth.
