My partner and I are constantly on the move, and finding a new hair stylist is such a major stressor each time, so I am forever grateful for finding Pepper shortly after our move to Livermore last year! I just did a major cut (10 inches) and loveeee it, and I realized I should be sharing my love! Kristen is truly a gem of a human and my cuts over the past year have been wonderful. I'm very low maintenance and like/need my hair to be the same, and Kristen is always thoughtful about that when making her recommendations. I know I'm a super picky client who always asks for very specific colors and cuts, and goes into almost every detail of what I want. It's been so hard to find hairstylists who have the expertise and knowledge to understand what I want and to be able to flawlessly recreate it. Usually I have another spot to get my hair done, but unfortunately they were all booked due to the holidays and the Covid backup. I have nothing but great things to say about this place ! I've been twice now and enjoyed every minute of each visit. The hair stylist I got was Morgan and she did an amazing job! Started the appointment off with making sure she got a full run down of what I wanted achieved all of it which made me come back to her the second time! The owner Kristen came and checked on us a couple of times(because Morgan's still in training) and was so sweet and helpful ! I had a very negative experience here. I was just going to wash my hands clean and not write a review but the more I think about it, I'm so mad!!!
I went in there for a balayage. Long story short, after sitting in the chair for 4 hours, the stylist and her "help" basically laughed at the "orange" hair I was given... It did not make me feel reassured. It made me really annoyed how I was treated.
I've ALWAYS gone from dark hair to highlights.

I called Pepper hoping for a color correction after a bad experience at another salon. They called me back right away, even though I wasn't an existing client, and put me in touch with Felicia, who texted that same day for details and pictures. After asking lots of questions and really listening to what I wanted, she booked me in for the same week, even though the salon is super busy. The time and effort both she and the salon took right up front were really reassuring.

Kristen is amazing, in January I had a unfortunate mistake that happened with another stylist there and she came to the rescue and was so understanding. She offered a few solutions, but I ended up just wanting my hair redone how I wanted it, which she did-- plus gave me a discount for the mishap. Such great customer service!

P.s. I didn't name the stylist that made the mistake because I feel like it truly was a mistake. This one thing didn't make them a bad stylist or reflect any of their other work.

I will start by saying Shelby is amazing! The salon is clean and comfortable. I had been searching for a new salon since I moved to this area and hadn't been able to get my hair done in almost a year. I am so glad I found this place! Shelby exceeded my expectations with cut and color and did everything I wanted even though I showed up late to my appointment. I was going to reschedule my color but she stayed late to get it done. I will definitely be back to see Shelby and I highly recommend her!!

This was my first time here! My mom goes here as well and recommended Austin. I was very happy with how my hair turned out and he was such a joy to talk to! I had a great time at my appointment. I went in for a cut and style from Austin and he did an amazing job! I've always been kind of scared to have shorter bangs, so he listened to me when I had questions and also gave his own opinion which really helped. I definitely want to go back to him when I decide to get my hair colored. The salon itself is insanely cute and well designed. Very easy parking as well!

I walked in to Pepper Salon with dry, unruly and sometimes frizzy COVID hair. Felicia Yulo was able transform my hair with only a haircut and blow out. I left with silky soft hair that was easy to manage again! My hair has shape again and is full of movement and life! I'm looking forward to my next appointment with Felicia!

Stephanie did an amazing job with my hair. It has been many years since I had my hair professionally colored. The color was relatively even but reallygold, drthe ends, with demarcation and gray roots. She help me find a cut that would give me more volume and less weight, touched up my gray roots, added in low lights and a full head of highlights and toner and hair mask. The whole procedure was $265. Stephanie did exactly what I needed and listened to my needs. Thank you!

I was looking for a new salon in the area and found Pepper Salon through the magic of social media. Since their website have yet to launch and found some reviews/photos helpful, I decided to book it through Yelp and hope for the best!

Jessica was my stylist; she was super friendly and honest. I wanted to go for a simple lob haircut and chop a few inches off my hair/bangs. She was able to add a bit of texture to my hair, as well. She doesn't pressure you to try anything else or make you feel uncomfortable. It's great that I can give her a text message to set-up another appointment.

Based on recommendations from my hair stylist, I decided to go with another hair extension method from another stylist at the salon. Before getting into the extension part, I'm so thankful to come to a salon where it isn't catty and if you feel your client would do better with a different method, you root them on.

Shelby did my habit hand-tied extensions and they are beautiful. She has such a beautiful soul on top of that!

It is time consuming and you're a little bit tender for a day or two, but that's with any extension tbh.

Ask for Kassie, you will love this new salon! I have been getting my hair done by Kassie for over 5 years. Whatever you need she can do it or recommend something even better for your hair and look. My hair has never been healthier and she has taken it lighter, darker, and then back again. Styled it for events, extensions, balayage, highlights, ombre, deep conditioning, keratin treatments, she does it all! Kassie cares about her clients and is passionate about her work. Professional and extremely talented. Kassie will not only be a stylist here, but she is on the Management
