Martyn is a third generation British Cotswolds Stonemason, continuing the long tradition of the English countryside, where natural and native stone is utilized to create everything from homes to gardens. Since leaving school in 1984, and until he re-located to Northern California in 2001, Martyn was the principal/owner of a contracting/stone masonry company in Gloucestershire, England.
Upon arrival in the US, Martyn worked on Larry Ellison's Mountain Home Road estate, as superintendent of the extensive masonry work what is one of the largest residential construction projects in the US. JEC Stone Inc. was founded in 2004, and the company has been busy with a variety of interesting residential and public projects ever since.

Martyn and our crew of artisans are well versed in creating fine, custom stone and woodwork for your home projects. The National AIDS Memorial is located in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This project has always been near and dear to JEC Stone Inc., as Kerry, one of our owners, was the founding executive director, and helped to raise the funds that created this special space.

You won't find a better GC than Martyn. Great communicator, excellent crew and a high standard of work - all at a fair and competitive price. I started with small deck job, and then re-engaged him and his crew for phase two, three, and four of our landscaping project. Very happy and highly recommend.

My name is Rob Deits and along with my wife, Terri, we purchased a beautiful home in the Napa Valley in a community called The Napa Yacht Club. Our home is on the river with a beautiful water setting that is extremely deserving of an Outdoor kitchen & bar to enjoy the ambiance.
After a couple of interviews with other outdoor contractors we found ourselves unsatisfied. Wonderful to work with!!! We love our grill area, hot tub area, and updated stone patio and water feature. Extremely impressed with Martyn and team, everyone was great to work with, and we truly appreciated the ideas on what to do as my fiance and I can sometimes be indecisive. Martyn has a wonderful eye for design and really helped make our backyard dream a reality. Highly recommend working with Jec Stone!

€śWe are very happy with the work that Martyn and JEC Stone did on our San Francisco home. The exterior of our home was completely transformed. Martyn did an excellent job of sourcing vendors for our new windows, front door, and garage door. We did not anticipate doing much work on our backyard, but with Martyn’s vision, we created a more livable (and visually beautiful) back yard including a new custom deck, fence, and gates. Our project came in on time and on budget. He arrived on time, every day, as did his crew. Everything was cleaned up at the end of a workday. Our neighbors have commented

JEC Stone completed the construction of our outdoor kitchen island and we are extremely happy with the final result. After having spoken with several local general contractors, we felt JEC Stone was the only contractor with the expertise and flexibility to help us on our project. Martyn and his team are true professionals who were able to navigate through certain obstacles and brilliantly solved problems that we had unintentionally and unknowingly created by purchasing a DIY module kit and appliances ourselves from another third-party manufacturer.

JEC Stone and Martyn Peachey installed a beautiful stone gas fire pit and stone patio in our backyard. We were impressed by their service from beginning to end. We were never rushed in our decisions and the communication was exemplary. Martyn made every effort to make sure we got what we wanted and expected. Martyn gave great input to the design and materials, was prompt with the bid and then they finished the job very quickly with a good sized capable and courteous crew. I'm writing this review on a General Contractor that I've used several times and have found the rare find indeed. We're all looking for a General Contractor that will do what he/she says and at the price quoted. Rare, maybe impossible you ask? Yes indeed. But finally someone that knows the art of listening, professionalism and honesty. Finally!!!

A True Professional! It was a pleasure doing business with Martyn and his team. No detail was left to chance. Martyn communicates clearly and with detail. No question is left un answered. He takes ownership and pride in his project, making suggestions and changes to improve the outcome. His team are also professional, taking steps to insure that our property, pool and landscaping were not negatively impacted.
