Mike Mandolfo founded Strategic Benefits in 2010 with a passion to help clients manage their health insurance and employee benefit plans in the ever-changing landscape of health care reform. After spending many years within the insurance and human capital management industry, Mike noticed a division between broker solutions and consumer needs.
The agents at Strategic Benefits are individual & family health insurance plan experts in NE & IA. We are Health Insurance Marketplace certified for subsidized plans. Our goal is to address the needs of our clients as they move through the many changes in life. Under the Affordable Care Act, everyone is required to have health insurance, with rare exemptions.
Short Term health insurance plans can provide flexible coverage terms from 30 days up to 36 months in Nebraska and Iowa. These plans are also referred to as Temporary Health Insurance Plans. You can select the specific coverage duration to meet your needs. Coverage can also begin next day without a qualifying event.
The Health Insurance Marketplace is a good resource for individuals who DO NOT have health insurance through a job, Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or another source that provides "Qualified Coverage". Depending on your annual income, family size, and other factors, you may receive a subsidy to reduce the cost of your monthly health insurance premium by applying and enrolling through the Marketplace.

I have been working with Strategic Benefits and Mike for the last 2 years. I found him online to help me find great insurance for our employees being a very small clinical office without it costing my staff and the office a lot of money. I truly love working with Mike and the staff at Strategic Benefits! Mike is the BEST to work with!! He can explain insurance in the best possible way for someone to understand. Mike has the bes personality and is so fun to work with. Coming from a small Care Center facility, our prior agent was not helpful getting us approved for our renewal following a denial. I had experience working with Mike at a prior facility and asked him for help. Long story short, not only did he get us approved he was able to provide options for our staff that were AMAZING! Best insurance I’ve had personally since moving to Nebraska. He helps you through every step of the process and is incredibly responsive to all questions/concerns.
