Blue Star replaced the B vent on the roof of my new home when it was found to be cracked during the home inspection. Winston arrived on time, was very kind and knowledgable, answered several questions I had about the process along the way, and he and his colleague worked hard to finish the project in time for my PM HVAC permit inspection. Their prices were reasonable and exactly what was quoted prior to the work; No surprises, and I passed inspection. Being new to the Burke area, these guys started off on the right foot and I'll be calling them again for my HVAC needs as they arise. Thanks

BlueStar's technician John B. is obviously very knowledgeable out how HVAC systems should be installed and operated. He tested our system and explained how we can operate ours more efficiently to get better results, and why a couple of things I thought were problems, were not. He did not try to "upsell" any products or services. I would recommend BlueStar and John B to anyone needing HVAC work.

BlueStar Air Mechanical Inc is a great company. I have used them 3 times. I had duct cleaning last week and had a great experience. The two techs arrived at the time window I was told. When they arrived they explained the whole process as I had never done duct cleaning in my home before. I will be sure to use them again and will definitely be calling them this summer when my new home is ready. The other two times I have used them were for HVAC problems. This is my third year as a client with Bluestar. They replaced my old facilities (HVAC & water heater) with new units last year. As long as we are in the DMV area, I will continue to be a client with Bluestar. Their service, professionalism, punctuality, quality of work, communication, responsiveness and affordability is A+. Each Bluestar person who has come to our home has been warm and friendly. The team has taken the utmost precautions for the pandemic and I felt safe (I have a 1 year old) with them in the house. BlueStar did a fantastic job, and the technician that came out, John, was awesome!! He was very friendly, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I bought my condo within the last year, and this was the first time I've had the HVAC professionally serviced. John found multiple things that the previous owners and servicers who installed the unit had done incorrectly, and fixed them all on the spot, and gave several helpful recommendations. The price for the service was very reasonable. The customer service rep, Lynn, was also very friendly and helpful, and was flexible in working with me on scheduling

Don't think I can give a more glowing review than five stars all across the board. From the owner, to the technician, to the main customer service person, Lyn (especially Lyn), a very friendly staff which delivers a high quality of service at a reasonable price. The flexibility in accommodating customers' needs, focus on workmanship rather than when they'll receive payment, and other aspects of their customer service are absolutely unparalleled. If all other businesses behaved like the Blue Star team, many online businesses such as Yelp and Google Reviews etc. would go out of business or be redundant

The Bluestar team replaced my attic HVAC very quickly, during the heat wave. From initial visit to diagnose my problem (evaporator coil was leaking refrigerant) to new HVAC system in 4 days. The guys who came out were courteous, very clean with painters plastic laid out, and most importantly did the install without cutting any corners. Before calling Bluestar, I had another local HVAC company come out and all they did was routine maintenance and said that should fix it... um nope! I will use Bluestar every time for my HVAC needs in the future. A++++!

I have several experiences with Blue star mechanical, all have been great, ie , tstat check up, installing a whole new system at a renovation project, checking dryer vents and maintenance.
I have meet several installers and technicians from blue star and they all have been very profesional, knowledgeable and always explain everything that was done or needed.

This company is great! They've done a few things for me already, including servicing my AC and furnace, and replacing my thermostat.
John is an absolute pleasure to work with. He's very pleasant, thoughtful, thorough, and is great at explaining things. Danny called me right back, on a Sunday, to schedule a service call when my heat wasn't working. The lady slo does the scheduling is also very kind and responsive. On top of all this, their prices are also very good!

Our compressor failed at the beginning of the summer and we were forced to buy a new A/C unit. We have a contract with another HVAC company but decided to price out the equipment with a couple groups. Very glad that Danny came and gave us an estimate. Not only was everyone at the company extremely professional and helpful but they installed our new Carrier A/C and furnace for $5K less than our contracted service quoted and they threw in a 6-month media filter, replacement condensation pump, and duct cleaning. I am considering going to Bluestar for all of my HVAC needs. These guys are great.

My old water heater finally died on me and with it being winter, I needed a new water heater quick. I called BlueStar to have a technician come out and give a quote and they were able to get to me the next morning. The technician was very punctual and came at the stated time. The water heater in my condo is not a normal one, but is hydro heat system, so the water heater replacement is much more expensive than your traditional one. I contacted other companies to provide me with a quote and they were all much more expensive compared to BlueStar.
