Lori grew up working at PPA, which inspired her to become a dental hygienist. She began working here in 1980, after earning her Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. Lori appreciates working with a team that continually strives for excellence. She is passionate about providing optimal care to her patients - not only clinically, but listening to their stories and being rewarded by the relationships that have developed.
Dr. Bryan Pope left his Midwest roots to attend and graduate from Boston University School of Dentistry in 1996. After completing one year of a hospital-based residency, Dr. Pope opened a private practice focused on providing the highest level of comprehensive dental care.

While in private practice, Dr. Pope's interest in and aptitude for periodontics and dental implants began to grow, and he made the difficult decision to leave private practice and pursue specialty training. In 2001, Dr. Pope graduated from the periodontal/implant graduate residency program at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
Dr. Brenda Lamb Lewis is a second generation periodontist. Born and raised in San Mateo, she is delighted to provide periodontal care to the San Mateo community. Following her undergraduate education at Georgetown University, Dr. Lewis earned her D.D.S. at the University of California, Los Angeles.

I am terrified of the dentist, and Dr. Pickering and staff are just the greatest at making you comfortable and working with patients. I have a lot of dental problems, so I have sat in a lot of dental chairs over the years. These guys are some of the best dental professionals on the west coast, and can't recommend them enough. Seriously, this is the place to come if you need implants.or other major work on your mouth.

Atmosphere was quite pleasant, staff friendly and helpful. But what really makes this a great place is their knowledge and skill. Look at Dr. Pickering's credentials! Few dentists have such extensive training and experience. Valedictorian, taught as Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF while maintaining his practice, has completed residency and masters research in implants, and lectures worldwide. Little known fact, he also contributed to the well being of The San Francisco Zoo animals by servicing their dental needs. Getting dentures is a big step for me, and I appreciate that I can have the best
