I was extremely disappointed in my first experience with this Tempe location optometry office. I had previously been seen in Gilbert and had a very positive experience. All the 20/20 Image Eye Centers have access to patient records/Rx whether or not they are the location of the initial prescribing O.D. I was in a position of needing help due to unforeseen circumstances and simply requested a pair of trial contact lenses to get by until the day of my scheduled appointment. This rating is for the opticians who sell you glasses. When I was there, they told me my insurance did not cover progressive lenses, and they recommended I get them. It was an additional $95.00. By the time I was done, even though I have VSP, my total cost was $375.00. What made me upset was that I just found out when I went to my old eye doctor that the progressive's were covered by VSP. Don't get your glasses here! I know I never will again!

I had a great first initial exam, the doctor was very welcoming and the woman who helped me pick out frames and such was very nice and helpful. However, when I got a message that my glasses were ready to pick up, I called at about 5:40 to make sure they would be there if I rushed over to pick them up since I knew they closed at 6pm. I asked the girl on the phone if it would be alright if I got there right at 6 to get them. She chuckled and said something like "yes of course that is fine." I HIGHLY recommend this place!! This is my forever vision center!! First off, staff is amazing, especially Angela who was a pro from start to finish! The eye exam was seriously flawless and the best eye exam I've ever had! No air blowing in my eyes (they use something different that is WAY better) and no need to dilate my eyes (their sci-fi looking eyeball X-ray machine was super easy and did the job! ) Dr. Kessler was the best and dealt with my anxiety about eye exams and took his time and explained EVERYTHING! I just moved to Arizona so I needed to establish myself with an eye doctor. Found 2020 image eye center and scheduled an appointment online and also was able to put my insurance in before the appointment. They offer late appointment times too which helps with my work schedule. They were very professional and friendly. The staff at the front desk were very prompt and you check in with an iPad. Only waited a short period of time to be taken back and I was very early for my appointment so I was expecting that I would be waiting for awhile. Service got bad over the years. I picked up my new glasses and the order was screwed up. The lenses were not right. I had to take them to another optician to be fixed. The doctor was great and very professional but the service up front was a joke. The lady who fitted me was snarky and told me my eyes had to adjust to them. She insulted my intelligence which got me mad then told me making an appointment to correct them would be tough. The girl at the front desk was laughing so hard at my predicament that I decided to leave and find a new optician.

Used to live in north scottsadale, but moved to Tempe so switched providers and found this office. The staff is really nice and helpful. They also let you know of all your options. Meeting with Dr Kessler was a pleasure. He is friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable with my vision concerns. I will be making this office my primary moving forward.

I brought my son here to get a vision exam. First lady Sarah who worked with him had an attitude and was not very nice. The doctor was nice but I still wasn't impressed. Long wait times for paperwork to get finished after I left the office. Was given a false report on the paperwork I received back which I'm not happy about. Other than getting the exam for cheap, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The staff are unprofessional and have a bad attitude. They say they care about their customers but the way they present themselves says otherwise. Do ur self a favor and go elsewhere

I was in search of a Dr that was nice. Rating was for the Dr, not customer service. Glasses came in and not one person called me to tell me. $600 at this place for 2 glasses and nobody called. Not even the automated system like the message to confirm appointment. According to staff someone was supposed to call and text.

It's taken my husband five trips to see this doctor before he got his vision right. It's been 6 months since we first came in and they still haven't given us his glasses that we paid for. Every time one of us calls to ask where his glasses are the front desk staff shun it off and say someone will call us back... No response. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your time.

It has actually been a while since I went to 20/20 but I had to write this review because of my experience with a new eye doctor that made me realize how awful 20/20 Image Eye Center in Tempe is. I initially had a great experience here, no problems, but then a few years ago I had my routine eye appt and received new glasses from 20/20, which I only use for distance and driving at night. when I got the new pair of glasses they didn't seem right, and they weren't as clear as the previous pair I had gotten, so I went back to the office TWO times and both times was told that they were fine

Hello - I have been using the 20/20 Eye Center for as long as I remember. Last week for my annual visit was predictable except hey had a new technician, Laura, who was charming and made the pre-exam upbeat and a lot of fun. My exam was with Dr. Charles Kesner this time and did a fine job of the exam and advising me of the results. Without going into my details I was on the cuff of getting new glasses or not as fortunately my eyesight had changed little since last year but enough to get a recommendation. WATCH OUT and BEWARE
The people are very nice and professional, but make sure you know EXACTLY what you insurance covers when purchasing frames, contacts, lenses protector, etc. These people WILL mislead you into believing that you have no coverage on certain products as well as sell you large amounts of product you aren't looking to buy. I discovered this after leaving and going somewhere else only to be told that I was in fact covered on glasses frames. I suggest no going here since you will more than likely be pressured into buying expensive frames, a year supply of contacts, and patronized
