The final price will be determined by each stylist and will depend on the length, density, and process to reach the desired result. The price goes up for medium and long hair. However, we respect that our stylists all have their own artistic process and therefore final prices may vary based on the process of each individual stylist.

Please be aware, we enforce a 50$+ fee if you no-show, change or cancel any appointment within 48 hours of that service date and time. This card will ONLY be charged if you violate your stylist's cancellation policy. Most cancellation policies at MJS carry a 50$+ fee for appointments that are canceled, no-showed or changed with 48 hours of the scheduled appointment.

I first had a free consultation with her and I told her about my hair, its challenges and basically what I wanted. She really heard me and validated that she would not cut off too much hair (my worst fear), and what she could do. We talked about options on the cut, the color and how to make it longer (naturally and unnaturally).
I came back a couple days later with a photo of what I wanted. She re-shaped my hair, washed it, and styled it while showing me how I could do it myself. I am

Simply the best! I have naturally golden blonde hair with strawberry undertones but wanted something super light & bright. Annette had such a great understanding of what would not only complement my skin tone, but still protect the integrity of my SUPER fine hair. I could not be happier with the results!!
The salon itself is so nice inside, and +1 for the TVs by the shampoo bowls for those longer toning sessions. Can't wait to go back!

I came to Morgan James Salon for a full highlight service with Morgan. I was unhappy at the end of my appointment, because I was hoping to get brighter results.
I communicated this to Morgan at length and felt very dismissed as a client throughout the process. She has not apologized, she has given no effort to reconcile the situation or has given suggestions as to how we can correct the situation, she has taken no accountability on her part and was just plain rude.
Instead she put the blame on me saying how I did not communicate to her what my goal was on our non existent consultation, and that

I saw Annette for hair extensions. Annette was late the 3 times I went to see her. 1 of the 3 times she couldn’t even see me. I paid $731 just to order 2.5 rows. Annette installed 2 rows. When I asked her about the half row that wasn’t installed she said she threw it away. When I questioned it because it was a lot of money she told me our relationship is terminated. I had a very poor experience and do not recommend!

Your response to my review was exactly what I wrote in my review - that you guys fit me in and I appreciated that, but the unprofessionalism is what caused me to give you a poor review. Let me be very clear about the business owners response: I did not write this review because you only "offered me machine tied weft extensions and I thought that was unacceptable". Much overdue review! My hair was seriously dry, heat damaged, and had a ton of product build up when I went in for a haircut with Annette. Instead of just cutting my hair and sending me on my way she took the time to get to the bottom of my hair issues and helped me come up with a solution to get my hair healthy again. She was extremely knowledgeable and knew right away how to fix my hair problems. The most professional and relaxing hair salons.
Pandemic hair, hair loss/ thinning. Needed a pick me up. Morgan was so kind, friendly, and professional. I wanted layers and prefer foread bang coverage. However, she advised otherwise due to the thinning.
I wear a headband with buttons that covers my head so my mask straps can NOT be on my ears while at work from 7:30-3pm M-F. I can't really wear my hair up with all that in without looking bald.
Explaining all that to Morgan and showing her some sample pictures of short, layered, wash and go messy hair she advices this fantastic cut

My daughter scheduled a blonding appointment with Annette and left feeling fabulous!! Annette set realistic expectations through the consultations, outdid herself with better than expected results and my daughter felt comfortable in the chair and talking with Annette the entire time. Annette gave me the Keratin Treatment a couple of weeks ago and it has been amazing. She was very kind and accommodating, given that I had reached out to her on short notice. I naturally have very frizzy curls, and I wanted my hair to be tamer. Annette thoroughly explained the whole process of the treatment, and she delivered exactly what I wanted!
My hair now has a nice wave and shine to it, and it is so much easier to style. Assuming the treatment lasts as long as it should (3-6 months), I imagine that I will come again :)

MADISON KIRBY CHANGED MY LIFE. I came in for a full highlight and haircut and had the best experience ever with Madison! She had so many helpful recommendations and I am so glad I trusted her recommendations for this cut and color. My hair is so soft and I'm obsessed with the color and how healthy it is. Madison is also so friendly and funny, the time flew by. I will be using Madison regularly in the future and I am so glad I found her!!

I had a great experience here with Madison! She was super professional, friendly and easy going, which made for a very relaxing appointment - and she fit me in last minute and then was able to get me in early in order to meet my hair goals :) She knew by my brief description what I was looking for and did an amazing job. I highly recommend Madison at Morgan James Salon! First of all, the salon is a fun, welcoming environment with gorgeous decor and Friends playing on the TV. I had been going on 6 months and I was overdue for a highlight and major cut. Madison was confident with my vision and gave me the most stunning beige-blonde highlights. I also love my new cut (chopped several inches off)!
I've honestly never been so impressed with my hair after a refresh and I am so excited to have found my stylist in the Bay Area!

She did full blonde babylights and took her time to also do a smudge root and tone. As a first time client she explained each step and even showed me how to curl my hair with a new technique. She was friendly, knowledgeable and did a wonderful job. So happy I found her! I left the salon feeling like a million bucks. They were also very committed to enforcing Covid precautions and I felt very safe in the salon.

I've been living in the Bay Area for nearly 3 years and I have finally found my salon! I totally went to Sanctuary Salon on a whim based only on Yelp/Google reviews and it was the best decision. Riane was such a huge help. She was able to translate what I wanted and made it happen. The last time I felt this good about my hair was like 5 years ago. She did an amazing job and she's an equally amazing human. She was easy to talk with and explained the entire process to me. I already scheduled a follow up appointment which I never do! I can't wait to go back.

IF you want the BEST HAIR OF YOUR LIFE (I am NOT exaggerating)!!) you need to come to Morgan James salon and see Annette. I have seen multiple stylists over the years with ample experience, and nobody has taken care of my finicky scalp and hair texture the way that Annette has. I was exceptionally close to giving up on my hair and shaving my head (you'll believe me when you see the "before" photos) and she absolutely TRANSFORMED my look.

This is my third visit here. My first two haircuts were great and it seems like the third time is really the most charming. Liz, who cut my hair today, did an amazing job refreshing my curly bob. Those of us with curly hair who live in the San Jose area have to deal with some of the hardest water in the country, which is a curl killer. Liz knew how to cut my hair and style it to bring back the curly bounce I've missed. Overall, a cute salon with a relaxing vibe. They don't have a parking lot so you may want to arrive early; there's usually ample parking nearby.
