I have been going to Dr. stone for over 30 years. I live almost 2 hours away, so a couple of times I tried a dentist closer to my house... and regretted it every time. Invariably, the new dentist would diagnose "decay" and recommend hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of dental work. (Lesson learned at those other offices: if a dentist says "treatment plan," it may be a racket.)
Each time, I would go running back to Dr. Stone, and find out that the "decay" was a stain or nothing at all.
He also took the time to teach me how to remineralize the beginnings

I had an ok experience with Dr Stone, but he told me I had a cavity and a 2nd opinion (and a year later) told me I didn't. I tried to get an appointment last month and they didn't answer the phone for 2 weeks, had no recordings in the voicemail or notices on Facebook, and didn't return my voicemail. The new dentist was able to get my records so I guess they didn't close. I won't go back and would hesitate to recommend them.

Despite being quite upfront with this, the entire staff was very friendly and even joked with me. I haven't been to a dentist in 4 years so a cleaning and general check-up was long overdue. I was not given any sales pitches, rather, I was given some sound advice regarding sorting out my insurance in order to get my wisdom teeth removed. I was also advised to buy a mouth-guard from any pharmacy store before resorting to a custom one that could be made there.
My technician was very friendly and really made the visit a pleasant experience

Dr Stone and his staff are awesome! Brooke and Crystal are always cheerful, helpful and efficient. Anh is a wonderful hygienist, always giving good feedback on home care and providing gentle and thorough cleanings. Dr Stone is clearly looking out for his patients' best interests. He advises on options for the best long term health of your teeth and mouth, never pushes for unnecessary work to be done. I absolutely trust the whole team!

Dr. Stone is a great dentist and professional. It is really, really hard to find someone good, but he and his team are great. On my first visit I left feeling that it was worth my time and money. The front office is very professional and they always try to accommodate you. Offices are clean and welcoming. Toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathrooms just in case you need to clean up before you see your doctor. Bottom line ... Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed!

The front desk and office staff couldn't be more pleasant. Dr. Stone's practice however is run like an assembly line..complete with multiple sales pitches. I'm always saying no thanks to all the "extras" which are not necessarily covered by insurance. As a health professional...I am wary of these tactics and am somewhat turned off by this approach. Dr. Stone I've met a total of 3 times...with a total interaction time of MAYBE 5 minutes at most.

Love them! I was greeted by a very friendly and professional receptionist, my appointment began at the scheduled time, the hygienist Hannah explained everything she was doing during my cleaning and exam and made sure I was comfortable and entertained. Dr. Stone was also very nice and went over his recommendations for future care in detail. I needed a referral to a specialist and they gave me a letter with all the information. When I checked out that same receptionist went over the insurance and billing with me. Not only are they very professional, they are also super nice and take just a little

Dr. Stone's office staff is indeed pleasant and community-minded. But over a period of two years, each visit offered a surprise- several new hygienists (and yet a different novice who polishes the teeth), a different dentist (twice), and a sales pitch: electric toothbrush, mouthguard, teeth whitening, replace all fillings, panorama xray (not necessary or recommended for me, as I later found out, nor covered by any insurance.) His office was convenient and they file for insurance, but I found the practice a mill with up to four rooms filled at one time, and Dr. Stone sweeping in with a generous

His gentle & painless touch paired with his professional nature has truly made him an incredible asset to the Alexandria community. My family has seen several dentists in the past and we have never been so happy.
Even as a new patient, I was instantly greeted by smiling, friendly front desk staff who were just as informative as they were enjoyable to talk to. The hygienists and assistants were equally as friendly and I have truly not had one complaint to date.
