Geoffrey Caligan, DMD is a 2005 graduate of the Temple University School of Dentistry. His dedication to patient care and continued education has earned him a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. His goal is to provide high quality general and specialty dental care in Alexandria to families that need flexibility and affordability.
Whether it's whitening or orthodontics, implants or TMD therapy, Braddock Dental has you covered. Our patients rely on us for fully comprehensive care, and we can't wait to welcome you to our family. We provide orthodontic treatment for adults and teens using advanced clear aligner therapy. Invisalign and Clear Correct are wonderful options for people who want straighter teeth but simply don't want to have visible wires and brackets.
At your first appointment, Dr. Caligan will conduct a thorough exam including: a TMJ assessment, oral cancer screening, and periodontal health check. Digital photos and any needed x-rays will be taken and a preventive cleaning may also be provided depending on your oral health needs. New patient appointments are available during traditional hours as well as evenings and weekends.
Well, at Braddock Dental we believe you shouldn't have to pay a middle man to receive great dental care, and you shouldn't need a team of lawyers and accountants to figure out a benefit plan. The goal of the Premier Plan is to promote oral health by making dentistry affordable to those without an employer-provided benefit plan.
There's a lot to be said for a great smile. Straighter teeth not only look nice, they make you more confident and are easier to care for. Best dentist ever! I needed a lot of work done and I'm terrified of dentists (lots of bad experiences). I gave this practice a try because it was well-reviewed and I am glad I did!
Dr. Caligan is the man and he definitely runs a tight ship! His crew is super-pleasant, helpful, communicative and informative. This place makes me feel secure and confident in receiving dental work.

This clinic went above and beyond for me. I woke up with a tooth ache and my original dentist couldn't get me in for two weeks. This clinic fit me in last minute, managed my insurance, and treated me super well. I had no wait time, parking was plentiful and free, and the staff is just absolutely phenomenal. Additionally the dentist was professional, and thorough. The clinic was clean, and I just can't compliment this place enough. I will be moving my dental services here for myself and my family.

My first visit was a wonderful experience:
New patient paperwork was emailed to fill out in advance, several helpful confirmation texts & emails, beautiful modern office, plenty of staff. Great receptionist & another friendly staff member to get my temp & blood pressure, another friendly person took my x-rays.

Best Dentist I've ever gone to! Fair pricing, excellent technicians, and pleasant staff. Some Dentists love to make money off of your teeth. With Braddock Dental you get the impression that they love short visits and prefer to see you without cavities.
They provide you with the advice and tools necessary as well. During Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer they prescribed special toothpaste. Not only did my teeth stay white and not turn yellow, I ended up surviving Cancer with zero cavities.

I've been having tooth pain for a couple of weeks and knowing that Dr.Caligan was closed only added to my stress.
Fortunately, Dr. Caligan saw me today on an emergent basis, identified the issue, and took care of my issue. Dr. Caligan is always so patient and thorough. My pain is already alleviated. I am so glad to be a regular patient, and highly recommend Dr. Caligan and his staff.

First visit went very well. The receptionist was attentive and friendly. Lateea, one of the dental hygienist, was very thorough and professional. I wanted to switch a dentist close to home and found Braddock Dental through Yelp. Could not be happier with the choice and the reviews are spot on. Everyone is this practice is wonderful. Dr Caligan did an in-depth initial examination and walked me through how my teeth and bite looked. I don't think anyone has taught me as much about dental care. The hygienist was super gentle with all the cleaning, polishing and flossing. The staff person at the front desk was awesome as well, handling various question about insurance. I actually look forward to my appointments because the staff is so nice

It has been a little bit more than 3 years now, and my wife and I love this practice. My brother is a dentist, unfortunately living overseas, therefore we know a thing or two regarding good dental care. They are simply the best in every aspect of their job. Recently, they had to refer me to a different doctor, and even that one was one of the best I have ever had. You are always received with a smile, they are always eager to help and answer your questions, and I believe that they truly care about their patients. We are planning to move out of the area, but we will definitely drive back to them

I just became a new patient after several years of going to a dentist in DC. My experience was nothing short of amazing, beginning with the extremely efficient online forms process, to the cordial, extremely friendly receptionist, the perfect 10 thoroughness of the dental hygienist, and of course Dr. Callaghan and his warm, welcoming demeanor.

Just move into town and needed a dentist for our cleaning. Dr. Caligan and his staff were very friendly and thorough with our cleanings. Being a first time patient we had a lot of x rays taken and weren't rushed. Everything was explained to us. I feel I know my teeth way better than I used too! The fact that the office is a short walk is a plus.

I have nothing negative I can say about this practice. This is the first medical office I have ever been to where they are on time 100% of the time. I can arrive 5 minutes before a 3:00 apt and be sitting in a chair by 2:59. Everyone in the entire office is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Caligan is extremely good at what he does. I recently had an onlay done and a day later I couldn't tell it wasn't my original tooth. Anytime I have a question about insurance or payment they are able to give me an answer immediately and accurately. The office is extremely clean. Even though

I have been going to the dentist for three decades, and this was the best cavity-filling experience I ever had. The doctor and his staff are extremely professional, extremely patient, and great communicators. I trust them to do my dental work, and I have been avoiding the dentist for years.

Awesome practice! Dr. Caligan and his staff are very caring and patient. I've had experiences with Dr. Caligan for two fillings and one of his hygenists for scaling and planing. Neither procedure would be on my top list of things I'd want to do but I knew I needed it and they both made the experience as pleasant as possible!

This is the first Dental practice I've consistently gone to more than twice since they opened across from my old place. They're always ready to receive me at my appointed time. I rarely ever have to wait. Their cleaning is always thorough. I've had fillings done and a chipped tooth repaired. Every single time they've done excellent work. They never try to sell me on things or procedures I don't need and they treat me like a pal, as opposed to just another customer. This place is so great--highly recommend. My wife and I both go there. The staff is so nice, very thorough but gentle, and not pushy at all. I feel like I'm in extremely good hands and know exactly what's going on with my teeth. I noticed immediately that the technology they use for X-rays, cleaning, etc. is way better and faster than any dentist I've been to.
You can even watch Hulu while you're in the dentist chair! The location is perfect if you love or work in Old Town.

Made an appointment two months ahead of time with David. Filled out all new patient paperwork and sent them to David two weeks before my appointment. When asked to confirm my appointment a few days before, I confirmed...
I showed up to my exam and David told me that the practice had just recently dropped off the network that my insurance is under, and that I would have to pay out of pocket for my visit.

I have been going to Dr. Caligan since he first opened his office and since then I've moved an hour away and still make the trip to see him for my cleanings and check ups. The entire office is really nice and they make it a point to remember things about you from the last appointment. Dr. Caligan is really good at what he does and makes sure that his patients are always comfortable during visits. I've also gotten Invisalign done by him and I love the results. The office is really clean and they are up to date with their technology and procedures. In a world where it's hard to find a good dentist
