Services
Marcella Suydam originally moved to Seldovia, Alaska, a town located across the bay from Homer, nearly four decades ago. In this small town, she and her husband Lowell raised their four children, with the whole family including their cat and dog traveling each summer to commercial salmon fish on their seiner in the Chignik area.
The Whole House, which includes The Main House and the Bear Paw Studio Apartment, can be utilized as a wonderful Alaskan vacation rental. It is great for larger families or groups. It can comfortably fit up to 12 people. It does not include breakfast but you are welcome to use basic kitchen supplies which are in both kitchens.
A truly elegant Alaskan accommodation. The Main House has everything Cozy Cove Inn has to offer accept The Bear Paw Studio Apartment. The Main House including a fireplace, fully-equipped gorgeous kitchen, and a sunlit deck with its outdoor grill, dining area, and Adirondack chairs. You'll love the big and well-stocked kitchen with hickory cabinets, granite counters, and the oak dining table that can seat up to 12 people.
Bishops Beach is just a short two blocks from Old town and there are a lot of things to do while you are there. Guests can just sit and take in the views, they can shop, go beach combing, or go hiking. Make sure that you check out all the great amenities that are offered. The Bunnell Street Arts Center works to protect and preserve exception and innovative art that is in all media.

We stayed in the upstairs studio apartment. It was very clean and spacious. The refrigerator was packed with food so we could make our own breakfast. You do need a car to get there, but it’s not too far from anywhere. Marcella was very responsive. We were also lucky enough to see a moose grazing in the yard.

Marcella is an amazing host who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome in her beautiful home. House is so clean and she has adds the nicest touches to make everything feel luxurious and relaxing. We loved the sauna and the big bath tub with her essential oils and Alaskan bubbles! Not to mention the cookies and smoked salmon were fantastic. All around could not recommend this more!

Cosy Cove Inn is a beautiful house, with every possible amenity. We were there for 8 days and so enjoyed being in this place. Since we like to cook, it was made easy with everything supplied from pots/pans etc as well as a multitude of spices. Even Olive Oil was there. We stay in many VRBO’s both in the US and other countries, this is by way the most accommodating. Marcella is there to help with any problem, and is so, so nice!!! And if one likes quiet...this place is QUIET!!!

Our first experience in Alaska was at the Cozy Cove Inn. We stayed in the Bear's Paw Studio Apartment. Wow, it was a comfortable, clean and fully stocked place. The Inn is about a 10 minute drive to the Spit in Homer. Our windows overlooked lush greenery and the pacific ocean in the distance. The apartment provided a sitting area, comfy bed, full kitchen-stocked with any kind of breakfast food you could imagine, and a full bathroom. Our family visited Homer, AK this summer and Cozy Cove was the perfect place to stay! The location was great, nearby to sightseeing spots, town, and restaurants, and the views off the back deck were gorgeous. I spent each morning on the deck with my coffee soaking in the mountains, trees, and wildlife. So relaxing! The cabin is beautiful, so clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. Our family absolutely loved staying at the Cozy Cove. The home is very well appointed and everything was clean and worked perfectly. We spent an amazing day at the Katmai National Park and use Cozy Cove as our home base. At night we loved sitting by the fire, playing one of the many games that are stocked in the living room and watching movies (the house is well stocked with movies). Our trip could not have been more perfect. Thank you Marcella for going above and beyond!

What an amazing find! We only stayed for two nights which is not long enough!
Marcella has done a fantastic job decorating and making you feel so very much at home. As you step in the front door you immediately feel at ease, and very satisfied with the choice that has been made in selecting this B&B.
We stayed in the Forget Me Not room which was located downstairs off the main lounge area. It had an enormous bedroom with excellent storage and probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Off the bedroom was a spa and shower room which

Best bed and breakfast ever!! A truly wonderful experience!! Stayed at Cozy Cove for 5 nights with my girlfriend in the Forget Me Not Master Suite. The suite was neat, clean and the mattress was so comfortable I slept like a rock. The huge tub was another excellent perk of staying in the suite that I definitely took advantage of and enjoyed.

Marcella is an excellent host who pays attention to the details and truly cares about her guests. The beds and linens are very comfortable, and the breakfasts are great. I loved the blueberry cream cheese stuffed french toast! The Bear Paw Apartment offers spacious privacy, and the view is great. We especially enjoyed lounging on the deck with a drink in the warm evenings.
