Dr. Michelle Johnson earned her undergraduate degree, in biology, from Millsaps College. She then received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University Of Tennessee College Of Dentistry. After graduating as valedictorian of her dental class, she continued her education at the University of Tennessee and was awarded her Masters degree in Orthodontics.
Dr. Johnson has served as part-time faculty at the University of Tennessee for many years. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and many other Orthodontic groups at the state and local level. Dr. Johnson is a passionate Memphis Grizzlies basketball fan, and she loves to run in her spare time.

It takes everyone - Doctor, team and you - to make a perfect smile! We need your help while you are in treatment. Cooperating with our instructions between visits is vitally important and it speeds up the orthodontic process. Wear your elastics, appliances and retainers just as we suggest. It's important to eat right, exercise, brush and floss; we all work together so your dreams can become a reality.

Everyone wants after school appointments. We do understand! However, it is impossible for any business mainly focused on the care of young people to see all patients after school. We've managed this longstanding problem by requiring alternate appointments. One month the patient will be given an appointment after school and the next month they will have a morning appointment.
Appliance - anything the orthodontist attaches to your teeth to move your teeth or to change the shape of your jaw. Bracket - a metal or ceramic part that is glued onto a tooth and serves as a means of fastening the archwire. Breakaway - a small plastic piece with an internal spring which is used to provide force on a facebow.
The adhesive used for attaching the braces to your teeth begins to cure rapidly but takes 24 hours to completely harden. You can eat any time after leaving our office; however, we ask that you be mindful of the suggested eating list for food that may be harmful to braces. Until you become accustomed to eating with your new braces, you may find it beneficial to follow a diet consisting of soft foods.

I can't even say enough about this place and this staff! The office is quite and spotless, my daughter never had to wait. They always have time to see you if you have a problem or concern. They are so friendly and AMAZING. I love them all and I loved this place oh, and my daughters teeth are now perfect! K.D.
