We cannot express how wonderful this office is. Our daughters 10 & 5 look forward to their visits. How often do kids get excited for the dentist?! Dr. Leonard is fantastic with them as are the wonderful dental assistants. The entire staff is friendly and always greet us with a smile. Hi, my name is Carolyn and I live in Urbandale, Iowa. I grew up in Winterset, a town southwest of the Des Moines area. My grandparents owned a farm in rural Peru, Iowa and that is where I spent most of my summers and weekends. My husband and I have lived in the Des Moines area for most of our married life.

My son has dental anxiety after a certain local children's dentist that has now retired was abusive during extractions. Dr. Waage and staff are warm, welcoming, and soothing. They make my son feel comfortable and ease his anxiety. I appreciate everything about this office and am so glad we found Dr. Waage!

Our dentist referred us to Walnut Hills for my daughter who's 7 y/o. With Covid and precautionary measures to prevent exposure, parents are asked to stay in the waiting room or remain in their vehicles. I was really nervous for myself and her, but we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Dr. Waage and his hygienist were so kind and personable. My daughter came with a smile and I could tell she felt very comfortable even without me there. You guys are great! Thank you!

The dentist and staff did not communicate treatment plan and procedures prior to our appointment only to find their "policy" is highly unacceptable, and falsely placed based on further research into the policy in question. Very inconsiderate of our time and extremely hypocritical in how they treated us versus other patients right in front of us. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience. I DO NOT recommend this office!

My 8 year old son had to get two small cavities fixed. I was nervous going into it as my son tends to have a lot of anxiety with doctors and any type of medical treatment. However, Dr. Waage and his team did an amazing job. They were able to put my son at ease and he made it through the procedure quickly and without any tears. I would highly recommend Walnut Hills Pediatric Dentistry!!

We had a great experience! My son needed some teeth pulled and a filling. He was very nervous about this as he had never done anything more than a general cleaning and is quite jumpy during those! We were referred by our dentist to Dr Waage and I’m so glad!! Dr Waage was super patient with my son and built trust with him quickly and was able to make it a positive experience. Afterward my son said “I’m lucky I went there, it didn’t even hurt!!” Highly recommended!
