My brother and I, along with our wives, looked long and hard for a senior living / memory care unit in NY for our 96 year old mother. We found Inspir before Covid, and hoped that our hopes would not be undone by the Pandemic.
Our mother moved in 6 weeks ago. While there were a few inevitable kinks that needed to be worked out, we have been thrilled with the level of attention that she has received, the competence and thoughtfulness of senior leadership, as well as the kindness of staff on her unit.

When my husband became in need of a memory care facility I could not find a suitable place for him . A friend suggested maplewood facility in Darien which is only 1 hour by train from grand central and 10 min walk from Darien station . My husband stayed there for over a year . It is an excellent place with wonderful staff and environment . However I was looking for a place in Manhattan comparable to Darien to be in direct proximity to mt. Sinai hospital . I had to wait few months before Inspir - a new Maplewoods addition opened up on the 22 March 2021 with some delay due to slow processing of license
