Erik's Alterations

I was recommended to this place by my lash artist, and I came here a few days before Halloween weekend to get 2 skirts shortened as they were too long. I've had them for a while but never got them altered. I believe I got a fair price for them, considering they were very busy as well due to the holiday. And I was happy with the quality of service overall :)

Quality - 2 stars. Very inconsistent quality
Price - 5 stars. This is probably the cheapest tailoring in the Irvine area. Hemming is $10 for a pair of pants. But you get what you pay for.

In separate visits, I have taken three pants/trousers to get hemmed. The first pair were perfect! It looked like it hadn't even been hemmed, super clean lines. The second pair was wonky, where the pant leg was crooked. The third pair, the seam didn't look great but it wasn't obvious enough to be unwearable, but one leg was 0.5" shorter than the other.

Lan is amazing!

You cannot beat her efficiently and pricing. She is very attentive and knows what she's doing. I have been satisfied with her work and help every time. As much as you should definitely plan ahead, she works her magic to get your garments fixed as fast as she can.

Best parking would be in front of Target. You will walk the small pathway and will lead you to stairs right in front of DelSushi and enter a hallway of different offices.

They do such a great job! I've brought a variety of different items to them over the years and have gotten exactly what I asked for every time. Good value, great service, fast and reliable!

I don't even want to give this place one star because she totally ruined my husband's brand new AX suit jacket.
We took the jacket for shorten the sleeves and she pull the inside lining when she was sewing and made the whole arm wrinkled.
She also made a hole on the sleeve when she removed a button to shorten the sleeve.
I took the jacket and showed her what happened and she said it's not her fault but it's a manufacturer's fault.
I DO NOT recommend this place at all!!!

My worst

Don't believe the good reviews. This place is absurdly disheveled. I left my new pants for shortening. I got there 2 days after they were supposed to be ready. They couldn't find them. There are literally dozens and dozens of pants, shorts etc. lying all over the place in huge mounds. There is basically no hanging system. They were cut but not finished. I came back in 10 minutes when they were finished. If you want your apparel treated like garbage, no filing system, this is the place for you.

They do a great job and are well priced. I have gotten numerous dresses altered by them and they always turn out perfect. I go out of my way to use them rather than a closer tailor.

I would give 10 stars if I could. I came in to get my bridesmaid dress fitted on the sides , top and bottom. I was so worried it wouldn't be possible to get done and make it look like it was for me. But she did it so quick and it looked just as I asked. I sent friends there and I will continue to take other items in.

This was just the place I was looking for. I wanted to fix a few things with a pair of jeans and old suit pants. The price was right, the service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely come back again for any alterations or repairs.

This is my go-to place for hemming shirts and pants. Great prices and solid work. Can't ask for much more than that.

I had my jeans giving to adjust the length and a pajama pants for elastic band over the waist area - the job was done very neat and professional. The price is good and reasonable for its service. Definitely would come back for all sorts of alterations.

I'm 5" tall and pretty much need all my pants in petite size or to be altered from regular length. I had a pair of bell bottom jeans from Gap and some bell bottom pants from Hollister that needed to be hemmed. Turn around was quick, prices were great, and the hem also looks wonderful. The bottoms of the pants look just as they did when before the alterations.

Amazing job on alterations and the price is very reasonable compared to other alteration places in Irvine. The suite is a bit hard to find since it's in the building. Park near Chick-fil-a (if possible). The entrance to the building is by the yoga place near the winding walkaway. Once inside, go up to the second floor and it's pretty much smooth sailing in terms of locating the place.

Parking: free since it's at the University towne center but it's a bit of a pain to find. Be patient and a spot will open.

I needed to get my nursing school scrubs altered bc they were sooo big and I didn't have the time to wait for an exchange. Came in and showed how much I wanted altered, next day I picked them up and they were perfect. Also, so affordable. I will be back to do more of my clothes.

I have been going to Erik's alteration for a few years now, and I have to say that they deliver the best & quickest service in town. From alteration of a dress to hemming of high end jeans, they are good at what they do. A solid 5 star for this successful small business!
