Supporting Child Caregivers is a non-profit organization based in the United States dedicated to providing support to child caregivers-parents and others-in various settings around the world. Accumulating evidence suggests that the foundation of health and wellbeing begins in infancy and that infants may be protected from stress in the environment by good caregiving.
Supporting Child Caregivers gives front-line health workers the information and practical tools they need to support the child-caregiver relationship and in that way build the foundation for a healthy society. The emphasis of SCC is on collaboration with local institutions.

Services
SCC envisions a world where children from all backgrounds have the opportunity to follow their dreams. The first 1000 days of life are the time when the foundation is being established for core competencies necessary for future success. Chronic poverty, lack of access to healthcare, gender bias, gang presence, and family dysfunction are some of the many environmental factors that can compromise healthy infant development.
It is SCC's contention that the primary tasks of a child caregiver are to protect, nurture, and enjoy the child, and the mission of SCC is to provide training and educational support to child caregivers. Towards this end, SCC aims to expand the knowledge base of caregivers by providing useful and current scientific information about child development and mental health in order to aid them in their work with children and families.

They range from students completing their graduate studies to seasoned professionals and share a common focus of disseminating information about infant mental health and providing support for caregivers working with babies and their families.
