I am so glad you're here! I started training in Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) at the age of 6 in Maryland. In high school, I started choreographing cinematic and folk dances and continued to teach and choreograph for local Indian community programs. I graduated from KNS in my senior year of high school.
This is a great class for young kids who are just learning rhythm, love music and need some structure. This is a very basic, beginner dance class to get them skilled and social. A class to get accustomed to music, rhythm, memory, coordination and making friends. We use this class to learn and review new, energetic dance routines to popular Bollywood music This is a class that's great for girls AND boys.
I'm so excited to dance with you. While I love teaching my weekly classes, I wanted to bring Bollywood dance to the DMV in a way that's always fun, high energy and freeing. It doesn't matter your dance experience because this is a safe space for you to let loose and just be in the moment. I hope we can create some great memories together and I can't wait to meet you.

Very welcoming & positive community! The instructors are understanding and open to new ideas brought up by the students. They are also patient when teaching choreography and have no problem answering questions or clarifying steps. Tons of performance opportunities are given as well! It’s a fun, engaging experience for a wide range of ages!

Ninakshi dance studio is very professional and easy to deal with. From a student perspective very easy payment methods, great costumes and performance organization.We don't have to do any running around on our part to put together costumes for performances Nina makes this process very simple and duplicatable for every performance. The dance pieces are unique and different and I love the classical touch. Definitely recommend this in the D.C/Metro area!!!
