Excellent show, friendly staff. But note: while the website says proof of vaccination or a recent negative covid test is required, they are not. Nor are masks, though they are strongly encouraged according to signs.
Figured this might be helpful to anyone who is hoping to enjoy the arts in as safe a manner as possible. If you're banking on what the website says, you'll be greatly disappointed.

It's a traditional old-style theater. VERY pricey for shows. Great parking. Worst thing is that seats have very little incline and are mashed super-close together ... so if a tall person sits in front of you then be prepared to watch his head for the length of the show, which is an absolute crime given what you pay for a single seat. Huge disappointment, as it would've been nice to see more than some dude's hair.

This theatre really gives you a bang for your buck. I am a season ticket holder for the 2021-2022 season, and they have some outstanding productions in the works. They offer what is called an "All Access Pass" for $39/mo. That allows me to see any show and sit anywhere I want. It's a great perk, as I already have my entire season mapped out and seats selected. I love having that type of flexibility.
They also have a cute ArtBar and Bistro which is a small bar with a limited spirits menu, usually coordinating with the two shows they have running. The food is pretty good as well

I attended "Steel Magnolias" last night and thoroughly enjoyed my night out! The theatre is a nice scale and quite intimate and there is not a bad seat. The quality of the productions is outstanding. I have been to 4 shows now and am always amazed at the level of talent in the cast. They are committed to Covid protocols according to the state regulations, which means the staff wears masks and they highly encourage attendees to wear them as well, but it is not currently mandated. Last night I would say about 35% of the audience wore masks, which is less than my comfort level, but I wore one so I

What a shame that the rules for Covid have shaped the guest experience. Finding out that we would have to show our vaccine cards and mask up in the theater while watching, was a turn-off. I was looking forward to enjoying live theater again. I will continue to enjoy theater experiences in places where we are allowed access without vaccine cards (we are adults after all) AND, the ability to laugh mask-free. It looks like Phoenix Theater won't be on the list.

This is amazing theater!! Christian the host was such a charm and had been so welcoming to us. The performance was spectacular~ we are from NYC and the performance was comparable to nyc Broadway show, we saw the play: Steel Magnolias with front row seating. The play was engaging and moving as the performers did an incredible work of walking us through the story! Bravo and what a great experience, thank you Phoenix Theatre company!

It was a beautiful night out, at the theater with friends. Safety was a priority yet did not interfere, from the experience of the evening. The entrance was well lit, the staff was attentive and courteous. Everyone from the greeter, the bar staff and ushers. The lobby area was adorned with long shimmering chandeliers. The actual theater was cozy and we could hear all the actors just fine. Definitely coming back! The play was Steel Magnolia and worth every act😊

I love musicals and plays. When I first moved to Phoenix I was so happy to know the theatre was so accessible.
I recently went in to see Daddy Long Legs! My OH My it was so endearing and cute. It was a very engaging musical with the two actors and I was pleasantly surprised! Now I really plan to read the book.
Liked Alot:
- The greeters were so nice and greeted me when I first came in with a smile!
- There is a BAR! enough said!
- The decor and atmosphere!
- The ushers
Not so sure about:
- The seats in the Hormel stage were uncomfortable
I am truly looking forward to Steel Magnolias

We bought 4 tickets to a 3 pm show 4/18 Sunday at Phoenix Theater . The show featuring Sinatra Songs was particularly important to my wife's mother who is 80 and hasnt been out in public for a year. It was for her 80 th bday. We show up at 2:30 for the performance and no one is at the site. There were 15 other people waiting to get in. The Phoenix Theater canceled the performance and didn't communicate the canceling of the performance nor did they return our money for the tickets. They had no one available at the venue to talk with us nor was their Box office open, so no way to

So far I have only been to two shows here but I have been blown away both times.
The parking lot is quite spacious for being close to the center of Phoenix.
All the seats give you a great view of the stage.
The lobby is quite large as it utilizes the space for two different theater spaces.
The bar is easily accessible to both theater spaces and the drinks can be taken with you to watch the show.
The first experience here was with the 2nd City Theatre Company improv show. A wonderful opportunity to see some really funny people.
The second show I saw was "Americano." Talk about being blown

We love seeing shows at the Phoenix Theatre company complex. The grounds are shared with the Phoenix Art Museum and are beautifully lighted at night. There are several lounge areas to hangout in at intermission. All three stages are small to medium sized venues so any seat is usually good. The smallest theatre, Hormel Black Box is a favorite as they show a number of unique and limited or first run shows. Hardes theater is in the middle of the complex, it is best to sit in the center section of this theatre as the side seats are not angled towards the stage and we have found that we have to rotate

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the production of Once. I loved the intimate size of the theater. Lovely building and grounds. Easy access and free parking. Nice bar and cafe area. Cocktails were good. Food menu was a let down but didn't really go for the food. The unsophisticated menu doesn't match the venue or the patrons.

Great seats and wonderful acoustics in here!
Staff was over-the-top friendly and helpful, as if they were excited to have us join them. Very impressive.
In April 2019 we were fortunate enough to watch ASU's performance of Triassic Parq, The Musical. What a complete and amazing delight! These kids totally nailed it. Such talent in the troupe, kept our whole party enthralled, laughing, engaged, and did I say laughing? Bravo, kids, marvelous performance!! Edgy storyline, but simply astonishing players made it work seamlessly.
Anyway, back to the theater itself.... several theaters in

Went to see Jersey Boys on the eve of Valentine's Day.
First time here, definitely not my last, loved the small size theater, yet big time performance.
Every seat n the theater is a close seat. Good sound, acoustics, visual appearance and fun theater overall.
I always look for shows at Gammage, but will also keep this theatre in mind.

Came here last Sunday to watch Elf, highly recommended venue! Access to the theater was good, the sidestreets were not too packed both before and after the show. The parking lot does get full so I would recommend coming a little earlier to park.
The concessions are expensive so I would recommend bringing a bottle of water. If you want a drink, there is a nice bar that offers mudslide type drinks and there are plenty of lounge tables around the bar.
The best part about this place is the green area located in the inner courtyard. This is nice place to hang out during intermission and was a

Made up of three different stages. Each one has good visibility and good acoustics. The main stage is the biggest and auditorium seats. He black box had stadium seating with benches, no backs.
Drinks are permitted in each theater and one can order before intermission and they'll be waiting on the counter of the Art bar, where one may have nosh before the show. Restrooms are clean and plentiful, usually no waiting on lines ladies.
We've enjoyed each of the 5 shows this season due to fabulous casting and crew and look forward to the next season. 'Break a leg.'

My lady and I recently attended a performance at the Phoenix Theater. It was our first visit to this venue and we were impressed.
Plenty of close (free) parking, nice grounds to walk and/or sit and enjoy as well as a classy, modern lobby with plenty of staff to show you around.
The theater includes a full bar, a bistro and comfortable seating. Inside the theater proper, again comfortable seating, good views of the stage, great lighting and sound quality.
We saw Newsies which we knew nothing about going in. We left impressed by the acting, music and dance. Worth going to this show / theater if
