The mission of the Brelby Theatre Company is to foster an environment for artists to imagine and grow freely, create quality intimate theatre, and inspire our community. Through the production of professional quality shows, and the operation of high quality classes and workshops, the Brelby Theatre Company will work to become the epicenter of theatre in the West Valley arts community, and a valuable member of the arts in Arizona.
The Brelby Theatre Company was founded by Brian Maticic and Shelby Brimhall (now Shelby Maticic) in the Spring of 2009. The two met while studying theatre at Northern Arizona University, and bonded over an appreciation for taking a well-rounded approach to the art form. The duo decided that they wanted to be able to create their own opportunities to challenge themselves artistically.
Brelby is pleased to be continuing our efforts of showcasing the work of local playwrights. In our 3rd Annual Night of Shorts, we'll continue to bring you interesting, quirky and exciting pieces of short theatre. Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest.
This is the premier production of the brand new Brelby Theatre Company, an audience participation murder mystery dinner theatre. Its open mic night at the Brelby Cafe.and the talent is lined up to compete for the elusive prize money. Join your hostess, Pamela Hospice, as she introduces a variety of quirky characters who are just waiting to dazzle with their respective arts.
The Brelby Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization created to support Brelby Theatre and local arts in Arizona. Through various events and fundraising efforts, the Brelby Foundation promotes and encourages the advancement of amateur theatre in the community, and helps local playwrights and actors to engage with the community and broaden their platform.

I also wanted to tell you how outstanding Luna and Solis was. It flowed incredibly well... your actors and actresses were perfect for the roles they were cast in.. I found your play/musical to be charming, humorous enough to throw in a couple of laughs to keep it from feeling daunting or draggy(that's not a word) the story itself was well thought out with a beginning middle and end.. I enjoyed that not any two characters stood out more than any other.. at one point i had favorites then I had favorites that were different and then favorites again but still different people and characters.. I was

A sham. Advertises and gives free tickets to people online through Eventbrite, but claims they made a mistake when you attempt to go to their shows with the ticket printout clearly showing $0 as the price. They tried to charge me $12 when I showed them the ticket. They wouldn't honor the ticket that Eventbrite provided for their show. They should be boycotted for that in my opinion. I waited an hour to go to the show for no reason.

Lovely little Theatre. Provides a very intimate experience for its patrons. The company puts on several original pieces as well as stellar community theatre shows. They have very affordable tickets and an awesome season ticket package (pay monthly go to as many shows as you'd like) like netflix go check em out!

This tiny theatre boasts some serious talent! I went to see Powerhouse and was surprised to find the theatre only holds about 60 people. But don't let the size of the audience fool you, the show was top notch. The music, acting and singing were as good as many of the other valley theatres. The set was simple, you could tell they we're working with a budget. However, the creativity in how they used that budget was fantastic! I didn't visit the concession stand, but it seemed to boast a wide variety of snack offerings. The seats themselves we're comfortable for two hours and raked so that you could

Ok time for an updated review. This is the best little theater in the west valley. The actors and writers and directors are fantastic. They put on original plays. Every time we go ( which is a lot, due their ShowGo offering) we always leave wanting the story to continue. From very humorous to Shakespeare. There is something for everyone. Don't miss out on this place. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you Brelby for making my entertainment heart smile!

I have seen several shows at Brelby now, and try to catch pretty much everything they produce. They are a small, scrappy theater company producing great stuff with very little. Definitely catch their studio series, which is usually world premiere plays getting their very first almost full production. They are truly welcoming to each and every visitor, I also recommend getting a drink at Haus Murphy's or the wine bar right around the corner before or after the show. Support our local business and the arts! They are doing everything right!

Great little place to see a play! While browsing around Glendale think of getting a bite to eat or wander around and see one of their shows.
It's a small intimate theater for live entertainment and a small crew and cast. They have matinee shows and some evenings. We recently went on a Sunday to see "The 12 days of Christmas" which is the story of a couple who have been together for 12 years and after he doesn't propose and she breaks up with him she kindly gives him 12 Days to win her back.
We love love love live shows that are imaginative and heartwarming and hope to see more

I just watched one of the best productions that I have ever seen on any stage. "She Kills Monsters" by Qui Nguyen, produced by the Brelby Theatre Company in Downtown Glendale, was PHENOMENAL! The story is every nerd's greatest glory on a stage, and touches the soul of the struggle of LGBTQ identities. Only $20, but worth so much more. Go, and be moved!
The theatre itself is a wonderful addition to the Downtown Glendale scene! And what a great lineup of shows they have on their calendar. As a lifetime resident of Glendale but a first time visitor to Brelby, I can say that I feel

The Brelby Theater company, while small, is a wonderful place to see a show. I really enjoy the ambiance of being so close to the actors. You really feel you are part of the experience. The owners are very personable, and the performers truly give their all for each performance. I have seen several shows there and have never been disappointed.
I highly recommend you catch a show and experience this troupe for yourself, you will be thrilled, and excited for the next one!

A friendly and intimate community theater full of fun, great talent and wonderful staff. Nestled in the heart of downtown Glendale's antique district this theater is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Ticket prices are very reasonable. Bring the whole family and friends. Have a meal and drinks at any one of the close by restaurants and have a fantastic and affordable evening.

Brelby is a new theatre company in the west valley that is opening in hopes of providing a new theatrical venue to local artists. They're a company that promotes the growth of an artist in a realm that you might not have tried before. It is a place that I look forward to seeing grow and expand to be place the entire valley knows to go for amazing theatre experiences.
