Outside of the office, Dr. Ward leads a quiet life with his husband, Earl Johnson, and their three dogs: Hazel, Sherman, and Henry. He enjoys art and has taken pleasure in decorating their home, as well as the office, with interesting pieces. He loves the outdoors and nature, and spending time in the Virginia countryside while hiking, gardening and bird watching.

With access to your health history and an understanding of your individual needs, your doctor can give you advice over the phone to guide your next steps. A visit to an urgent care facility or, if it is a life-threatening emergency, a visit to the emergency department. Urgent care facilities are a more convenient and cost-effective alternative to the emergency department.

I love this doctor’s office. Although Dr Ward is basically retired, I’m super happy that Jessica is part of this awesome team. I did a study for Linda and she went above and beyond to accommodate me. Literally; she would meet me at the office at 6 in the morning so that I could make it to work on time.

Couldn't be happier with my switch to Dupont physicians group! They are an amazing group of providers and staff who care about their patients. I'm so happy with the care I have received! I’ve been going here for about 6 years now and I’ve never had any issues. Everyone here is always so nice and helpful. I love Linda and Dr. Ward. I’m now seeing Dr. Schulman and he’s very helpful and listens. A lot of doctors (not here) will just try to get you in and out but he listens to you when you have concerns. Everyone at the front desk have always made it easy to fit me in for my last minute appointments or even change my time due to work. AWESOME TEAM.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stearn’s for about 15 years. He has always been very helpful and thorough. I actually credit him with saving my life. About 5 years ago, I went in for a routine physical, and he quickly diagnosed an abnormality with my heart. After several procedures done by specialists, the condition(s) were corrected and stabilized and I continue to see Dr. Stearn annually. He always takes the time to listen and provide sound advice.
