SNR's owner Tiffany Turner is a speech-language pathologist and board certified specialist in swallowing, one of only a handful in the OK, AR, and KS region. Board certification through the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (ABSSD) is a rigorous 3-5 year process and is the highest certification available for clinicians treating dysphagia.
When dysphagia (or difficulty swallowing) is suspected, an instrumental assessment is necessary to objectively determine the specific structures impaired, the severity of the deficits, the diet/liquid textures that are safest to reduce symptoms, and the specific exercise program that can target the affected musculature to improve swallowing abilities.

Various progressive diseases, such as ALS (also referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease), can result in the loss of verbal speech abilities. Sometimes strokes or other forms of brain injury can also result in temporary or permanent loss of voice and speech skills. However, loss of verbal speech does not have to result in loss of communication with loved ones.

What a wonderful clinic! All of the staff members are very professional and pleasant. I love the attention to details with patients and family members. They use the latest technology and best practice for each patient. The two Speech and Language Pathologists are very competent in their fields and specialties. At SNR, Tiffany and Stacy provide the highest quality of swallowing and cognitive communication treatment as well as very thorough evaluations! I purchased a bundle package with the slp starter kit, aphasia pictures, aphasia toolkit, and dysphagia clinician resources. I am so glad I did. Having been a school based therapist since graduating, I was nervous when I took a hospital job. These resources were very helpful. I especially liked the aphasia pictures. I spent less time creating or looking for materials and more time flexing my therapeutic muscles. Thanks SNR

Tiffany is one of the best clinicians in the field and I have seen her make huge progress with many patients. She is well versed in the anatomy, physiology and neurology involved in voice, swallowing, speech and language that gives her an edge on other treating therapists.
