Why people buy/sell real estate and either use the bank attorney or random attorney or don't use an attorney at all makes no sense to me. Hire your own attorney. They work for you and will protect your interests. It is such short money. That being said, get a good one. We are currently using Mike to assist us as we settle the real estate in an estate. He has been very helpful answering our questions as we go through this process. About three years ago Mike was the attorney on the sale of our old house and the purchase of the new house. I had the pleasure of working with Mike and his team after my dad passed away and we were selling his home. Being in St Paul, MN it wasn't going to be easy for me to be at the closing. My recent refinance closing experience with this group was short of a joke. Nothing is properly communicated, it is impossible to reach anyone over the phone, errors in calculation and the 'attorney' assigned my case was simply put rude and unprofessional. On top of all this, they made errors in tax calculations. Overall terrible experience with this group. To be clear this is not my first time home buying or refinancing experience - C&C's services was beyond appalling.

We just used Crowley and Cummings to close on a two family house about a month ago. Mind you we live 800 miles away and were doing everything through email. Tiffany, Alicia and everyone in the office made this transaction so easy for us! My wife and I purchased a home a few years ago and Joe Anderson at Crowley and Cummings was absolutely invaluable in our deal going through! Long story short - the elderly couple that we purchased the house from accepted our offer but their son seemed to be trying to derail the deal in any way possible.
