We are from Oklahoma but were in Austin for the Formula 1 Race at COTA. My son's wheelchair recline function just quit working. We needed someone to look at it and maybe repair it if possible. I left a message for this Group and they called me on a Saturday to try to make it happen. Their repair guy, Will, didn't work weekends but he was also at the race and he came a long ways from where he was sitting to where we were to look at our wheelchair. The caring of the owner of this company as well as his staff was amazing! They are a blessing to the Austin area.

Don’t usually leave reviews on rentals, but the guys here are the real deal. They truly care about helping others who need a little extra support. I can't say enough good things about this company. I was in nees of a power wheelchair and had an upcoming surgery so really needed it before. There were insurance hoops to jump through. Well my caseworker Libby made everything happen. She worked constantly to push this through with the insurance company. And she managed to get it approved in just a few days. I had it 2 days before my surgery. All I can say is Libby is such a valuable asset to this company! Wow! I cannot say enough good things about Kerring Group and James Murphey! Our family needed a wheelchair to assist my dad in getting around his retirement community, transporting him to cars and other locations, etc. I began the day knowing little to nothing about wheelchairs.....after one 30 minute phone convo with James, I felt so much better informed and ready to take my parents in to Kerring to try out some chairs.

Due to an injury in the family, I had been in the market for a light-weight, compact wheelchair for the car trunk area that did not require a self propelling or motorized type but more of a transfer type that could be pushed. I quite literally searched the internet and called almost all companies in the area. High prices and complexity were the norm. I had to get a wheelchair, bed, and lift for my wife. I sent Kerring three prescriptions and did not hear anything back. I called after 2 weeks and was told they had to assign a case worker. 2 weeks later, one called to tell me he was told they couldn't provide a bed because Medicare didn't pay soon enough to make it worth their while. I asked about the wheelchair and lift and he was surprised. 2 week later I called back but he said my dr. had not responded (he told me he had). A week later I got the wheelchair but not the lift. I was in need of a wheelchair for my grandmother who I was taking to the Trail of Lights. After getting an OUTRAGEOUS price for a standard wheelchair rental for two days ($175) from a national company, I decided to look local and I'm so glad I did. I was able to book a wheelchair rental a few days before I needed it for only $12/day. Normally they would deliver but with the holidays they asked if I could pick up which was so easy and the staff was very nice. Armando was AMAZING with a capital "A"! He helped us select a wheelchair, assisted with the paperwork and even helped adjust the wheelchair to fit my father's height. We are so thrilled with their service..... If I could give them 10 stars I would! Recently my husband need to rent one of their electric wheelchairs and everyone we talked to was so nice and helpful. It was delivered when we needed it and care was taken to explain how it worked. This company treats its clients with respect and a caring attitude. Have you ever had one of those days when you are convinced the world is working against you? When my power wheelchair began to have problems, I took it to the Kerring Group. Their technician Will first listened to my frustration with the chair, the repair process, and the financing. Oh, don't get me wrong, none of that was unreasonable; it was just inconvenient to my life. However, Will connected me with Armando and Sarah who helped me figure out how to pay for the repairs in a way that didn't stress me out. He listened and did admit things could have been handled differently. He apologized and explained how he would correct the issue.
He made the whole situation better by just showing he cared about his customers and is willing to make changes in order to prevent further situations from occurring. He was very pleasant, understanding and willing to find a solution! He definitely improved the chances

My dad has MS and is very blessed to not normally need help getting around. He does need a wheelchair when we go on family outings to the zoo or park. Kerring Group has always been there for us when we needed a rental or even just had a question about what equipment might help him. If you are looking for a place that doesn't feel sterile or insincere, Kerring Group is the place to go!

My wife needed a wheelchair for the trail of lights. Armando was very helpful on the phone and polite. The equipment is clean and in great working condition. It's hard to find people who smile and are friendly to customers in Austin anymore (sad). But Armando was an old school Texas Friendly Guy. Hopefully I won't have anymore needs for a wheelchair or other equipment but if I do (maybe 50 years from now) I'll be back!

More like 10 STARS! From the moment I contacted Kerring Group I was treated with respect and felt like I actually mattered. The staff are amazing and really care about the customer. I have many injuries from car wrecks and have needed many different devices from TENS units to canes, crutches, shower chairs. You name it, this company has been there to supply me with what I need. I rented a knee scooter when I had an event to attend, instead of struggling on crutches. I love that they were open with length of rental and flexible with when I would return the scooter. Everything went smoothly and the scooter was in perfect condition! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the website says $12/day rental fee but on the phone I was told they require a minimum of two days. I would have preferred to have the choice to rent for just one day or, at the very least, show the two day minimum on the website. I definitely recommend Kerring Group, despite that! I will
