It was a pleasure using syosset taxi. They came on time in a perfectly well maintained yellow cab minivan to drive my family and I to JFK airport. The driver was Howie and he helped me with my bags and assisted my 90 year old grandmother getting into the taxi. I will recommend syosset taxi to all my friends and family

Forecast was for rain the next day so I made an on-line reservation the night before. Got a confirmation email. In the morning, got another email saying cabs can't be reserved for local rides, call 30 mins in advance. So I called 30 mins in advance. The person who answered said "I got nobody." Didn't want to know where I was going, or when. Businesses like this are why Uber exists.
In response to the compan's reply: it doesn't matter when you call if you don't have drivers. And I did call 30 mins before.

Just tried to call a car for my 80 yr old mother while I was out of town. The man that answered the phone refused to accept that my mom needed a little help with this and said we don’t take third party calls.
Edit to add to the very polite response I just received. Had the dispatcher who picked up the phone politely explained this to me, I may have not been inclined to write a review. However the response was just” No, nope nope nope. “ Maybe some etiquette training would have avoided this review. Call this company if you want to be stranded at the train at 10:30pm on a Saturday.
Booked a cab online to be picked up from syosett after a late flight. Called the company 20-30 min before my pickup, they confirmed my reservation, said they'd send a car (although immediately quoted a higher price than what was on the website, and had overwhelming background noise).
I show up with the train at 10pm, wait for the reservation at 10:15, nothing. Call back the number which had JUST CONFIRMED the reservation, 30 min prior. It now connects to a taxi company in the south shore. I call the number on

My first riding experience with Syosset taxi two years ago was less than stellar. They used to have run down cabs and inferior drivers. I emailed management and they got right back to me to rectify my issue so I give them one star up from a two star review. I gave them that because I learned they moved from Robbins Lane in Syosset to Jericho Turnpike which made using this company more convenient for me. Also the cars are newer now than they ever been. They got rid of those ugly retired police cars and put on new sedans and SUV's and even minivans so seniors like myself can easily get in and out
