Join us at the Evergreens Campground, a peaceful, un-crowded family resort by its winding roadway lined with tall, fragrant White Pine trees. This friendly location gives you a casual atmosphere in a scenic blend of Birch, Pine, and Oak trees along the beautiful Kennebec River. Enjoy swimming, fishing, sun bathing, canoeing, camping or cottage living.

We also serve excellent meals served in our restaurant. Dine beside our large stone fireplace, or on our deck overlooking the Kennebec River. With your needs in mind (number in party, length of stay, arrival time), we will do everything possible to make your stay happy and memorable. Our cabins are furnished with full and twin sized beds and extra rollaway beds are available.
Services
At the Evergreens you can enjoy the true spirit of camping without the hassles of towing a trailer or pitching a tent. We have 5 comfortable appointed sparkling clean cabins located just a few yards from the banks of the Kennebec River. Cabins are tucked under tall pine and oak trees, and are spaced for privacy.
Many of their artifacts and fireplaces have been found here, and the Maine State Museum has conducted archaeological digs on these grounds. Ledge rocks on the opposite shore have Native American carvings (also called petroglyphs) said to be the best east of the Mississippi. The image below was taken by the Maine State Museum after the rock etchings had been highlighted in chalk.

A very well run campground on the Kennebec River with great owners. We have made several trips down the River with Kayaks launching right from our campsite to the boat launch off Patterson Hill Bridge Road. It is a casual 3 hour trip where we have seen Bald Eagles and Osprey as well as deer, raccoon and a host of other wildlife. From our site we witnessed many people tubing in floatillas down the River. There are also lots of other Kayaking opportunities all around here up and down the Kennebec and the multitude of lakes and ponds. You can find the publicly accessible boat launches on the Maine

Excellent family experience!! Rent a camp or use the campground. Small place but very cozy and relaxing being right on the Kennebec! We leave right from camp on our tubes and float down the Kennebec River, then head back to camp! Great fly fishing right there in steps from your camp or the campground! Highly recommend for and family or just to get away. Also bring the ATVs! Great trails to ride right from camp here! Amazing annual trip for us every year!!

The website SHOWS a beautiful campground that is neat and clean. Far from the truth and it’s closer to a refugee camp. Campers are parked in a random pattern. Nothing is neat or clean! The owner is rude and all, but told us to leave because we had not checked in first. We were looking for a new campground to stay at in the future. On our way home from an ATV ride we decided to stop to check it out. We drove around the campsites to see how the sites looked. As we were heading back out the owner blocked us in with his truck. He asked what we were doing. We explained and he told us we needed to

Great prices and everything you need is right nearby. Great place for outdoor fun with the family and it's on the Kennebec river so it's great for fishing and kayaking. I'll definitely be going to stay!

I love this place! Located on the banks of the Kennebec River overlooking Ancient Native American Indian Burial grounds on the opposite side of the river, and at the location of a Benedict Arnold camp site. Peaceful site with cabins, restaurant and RV facilities.

What a great place to stay! Check in was a little slow because we arrived late and the owner was busy in the kitchen. Clearly the owners work hard to make us all happy campers! The cottage was very clean and alot bigger than it looks in the pictures. I was pleasantly surprised to see a table and 2 chairs inside as well as on the covered porch. Which is where we spent most of our time. My husband and I talked too loud, laughed even louder and never had one complaint! Our dog even did what she thought was her job of barking at the neighbors!
The river was beautiful and the fall color amazing!

We booked a family reunion there and the customer service was terrible. They messed up reservations so instead of having three cabins we only had one and several had to stay intent sites We were made feel unwelcome by the constant patrolling of our specific campsites and glares by the owners. We were told we could not all have dinner together at the one cabin that we were able to reserve . There are numerous other ways that the outdid themselves with the poor service offered. I would not recommend having any sort of get together there. There are no activities for children....not even a playground

What a terrible experience with my family.
My mom had been doing family reunions every summer at this place for the last couple years. Normally there is only booking issues however this year was absolutely terrible and left bad memories for what should have been an amazing experience.
We had families coming from all over the US and some of us haven’t seen eachother in 9years! Half of us were in tears before we were saying goodbye.
We first called to book 2 cabins however somehow that was not booked correctly. We called many times to try and reserve things and they are terrible at answering
