Dr. Cohen has an excellent bedside manner. His easy going nature made us feel very comfortable. His experience knowledge and treatment plan for my husband has been very conservative and effective. At every stage of your life feet have different needs. That's why your entire family needs regular foot checkups from Highpoint Foot & Ankle Center.

We now have four convenient offices to serve you in Chalfont, Doylestown, and Hatboro. As board-certified podiatrists on staff at Doylestown Hospital, we can do everything from evaluating your toddler's gait to treating athletic injuries to caring for bunions and diabetic wounds. We're there when you need us.
Services
Your feet, like other specialized structures, require specialized care. A doctor of podiatric medicine can make an important contribution to your total health, whether it is regular preventive care or surgery to correct a deformity. In order to keep your feet healthy, you should be familiar with the most common ills that affect them.
This forces the toe to bend toward the others, causing an often painful lump of bone on the foot. Since this joint carries a lot of the body's weight while walking, bunions can cause extreme pain if left untreated. The MTP joint itself may become stiff and sore, making even the wearing of shoes difficult or impossible.
In our pursuit of healthy bodies, pain can be an enemy. In some instances, however, it is of biological benefit. Pain that occurs right after an injury or early in an illness may play a protective role, often warning us about the damage we've suffered. When we sprain an ankle, for example, the pain warns us that the ligament and soft tissues may be frayed and bruised, and that further activity may cause additional injury.
Nail fungus is currently treated with a variety of topical antifungals, some are prescription and some are dispensed in our office. These are more commonly used for mild cases. Fungal infection of the nail, or onychomycosis, is often ignored because the infection can be present for years without causing any pain.
From your precious baby's first steps, healthy feet and sure-footedness make milestones in a child's life possible. Starting at birth, paying close attention to your little one's feet from proper grooming to gait will ensure a solid foundation as your youngster grows. After all, their feet are meant to last a lifetime!
