We are both adventurers at heart. After college, we moved to Japan where we taught English for 3 years. Upon returning to the US, we completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2006. We heard a lot of great things about Asheville on the trail, and as a North Carolina native, Alice was excited to live close to family again.

Really great tour! We took the "Winter Warm-up" even though it was near 70° outside, and it was a perfect day for riding through Asheville. Our guide Joe did everything possible to make our trip a success. The bikes are comfortable and easy to ride, and zipping around Asheville's historic neighborhoods, in and out of downtown, up to the gorgeous Grove Park Inn, was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The treats and snacks along the way made it even better! Highly recommended - if you want to learn about Asheville (and get some insider tips on eating and drinking along the way

I did a bike tour with Lela that was fun interesting and informative! She spent a lot of time with me to get me sized to a bike and to show me how to safely operate it. She also spent a lot of time with me after the ride to help me figure out the right bike for me to purchase. She knows Asheville very well and she is well informed on the different bikes. A real asset to the operation!
Each individual I had contact with was helpful and professional! All in all a great experience!

Ethan was THE BEST host and tour guide! My family of three enjoyed ourselves tremendously because the trip was well-planned and executed. Lela and Anna were great guides. We had so much fun. I haven't rode a bike since I was a kid (42 years old). I loved the ease of the e bike. We learned a lot about Ashville history from our guides. You will NOT regret it!!!! Thank you to The Flying Bike!!!

Three of us did a four hour rental. We had a great time. We did a walk-in and the staff were great in accommodating us. However it was a Monday, probably wise to book in advance. Gave us helpful orientation of the bikes and a great route to see some sights. If you are comfortable riding a bike, you'll find these bikes wonderful. After a little use, they're easy to get the hang of and you're able to cover so much ground.

We had a great time today on the three hour tour. I was very nervous my first time on an electric bike they were very patient gave you plenty of time to practice at the beginning. Joe was very knowledgeable and… did a good pace for the tour and Matt was excellent as the sweeper making sure no one left behind and blocking traffic for us. Highly recommend them we had a great time and Ann Marie took the time afterwards to explain a lot of different options on Ebikes with my husband because we’re interested in purchasing In future.

9.14.21 - We had a BLAST. Leila was our tour guide and she was incredible. She knew everything about Asheville and it's' history. We are from Las Vegas and had the time of our lives riding through the streets of Asheville! We HIGHLY recommend this adventure and can't wait until we return next October to do it AGAIN.

What a fantastic experience!!! I would never dream of cycling the streets of Asheville any other way!!! Brian and Pearl were fabulous guides and I learned quite a bit from Aaron on the cities history! Informative and fun!! What could be better?? Highly recommend for anyone visiting Asheville and can ride a bike!! Super easy once you get the hang of it!!

My girlfriend and I did a three hour tour of Asheville with Ethan. He was very professional and knowledgeable and did a great job, starting with a brief intro and training. Overall the tour was fantastic. He led us through many different parts of Asheville, including downtown, the Montford neighborhood, Reed Creek Greenway, the Grove Park Inn, and more. The tour was not rushed and he made many stops along the way to give us inside stories and local history. We learned quite a bit about the Vanderbilts and Dr. Grove. I highly recommend.

What an AMAZING experience! The tour guides (Torin & Anna) are so kind & passionate about e-bikes and the city of Asheville! We also loved meeting others on the tour and getting recommendations of things to eat/do in town. We used the child add on bikes and our 7 & 9 year olds LOVED every minute of the ride. Highly recommend!

Randomly decided to come to this place at 2PM after deciding we wanted to bike around the city. Met Torin, the owner, who was so flexible with our large group of people considering it was the ending of the day. He spent 20-30 minutes orienting us to the bikes, provided helmets, locks for stops and even water bottles. He helped us create a route and gave local advice on places to go to and things to do in town. Thank you for everything! Highly highly recommend this place! One of our best days here in NC!

On a lark my husband and I decided to rent e-bikes - so happy we did. The owner was great; he set us up with two bikes and gave us a brief training on the use of the bikes and we were off. Both of us are pretty new to electric bikes but these are super simple to ride. We will definitely do this again next time we come to Asheville.

A great way to see the sights around town. My wife and I rented bikes for four hours for independent use. They ensured we had proper instruction and equipment prior to departing. Riding the electric motor assisted bikes was effortless, and we were able to easily explore the sights of Asheville. With minimal effort, the bikes can throttle up to 20 mph - 20 mph even up the steepest Asheville hills. Easy sightseeing. We even made a couple impromptu stops at a winery and restaurant. Friendly and organized staff.

My husband and I rented bikes for four hours to hop around to the city and check out some of the spots we wanted to see that were just too far to walk. This was an awesome option and we were not disappointed! Torin, the owner, personally walked us through the bikes and test drive to make sure we were safe and comfortable. Amazing attention to detail and pride in what they do. We had an awesome afternoon and used up all four hours to the minute. It was a blast. Highly recommend! Excellent service and excellent bikes. Will come again.

Loved this company. We called them last minute, and while they were not giving tours that day, they were gracious enough to rent us bikes and spent a ton of time with us making sure we knew how to use the bikes and where we were going. Highly recommend Flying Bike and seeing Asheville on eBikes is the way to go!
