Martin is Amazing……professional & his customer service is excellent & very much appreciated. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is the first time I am writing a bad review about someone. I was looking to dye my hair with someone new and in the area. I came across this salon and read all the amazing reviews about him and decided to go. I should have asked before hand about pricing and whatnot so I partially blame myself, but I did not expect to be charged over $500 for a root touch up and toner. Rude, unprofessional, offensive ...First tried to convince me I couldn't possibly be blonde, when I never even asked to go blonde, apparently because my eyes were brown hm... I was naturally baby blonde till second grade and color blonde during college. I asked for lighter hair, got black, red and orange and was charged over $500. Wouldn’t trust any one else to do my hair . Martin is very professional, knows color , and is just amazing and good at what he likes to do. My hair is very hard to work with and I have been more than satisfied and happy with the results when Martin is done with my thick , long course hair . I really recommend going to him if you want your hair done right and he is awesome in color correction. I have been searching a long time for someone who can color and cut my hair the way I would like. Martin is amazing! He takes his time and explains the hair color process, the cut, and the price. He works with only one client at a time so you and your hair get his full attention. I am loving my new hair color and cut. He's ridicules, I feel very fortunate to have found Martin, I really didn't believe that I was actually going to get the look I was wanting. I am 56 years young that appreciates style and tries keeping healthy. I also think there is a fine line between trying to be stylish and trying to look 35 again.
Fortunately I still have a very thick head of hair, but as time has passed it has gone from a silver-gray and white color, to practically an all milky white, ( i would make most Santa Clauses jealous). I have always been able embrace my age, but definitely don't want to look any older

Recommend Martin 100%. First time client, went in for a haircut and was blown away with all the techniques he did with my hair and educated me about it. He definitely knows his stuff. If you are in need of a new look he is the man. I went in with a magazine thinking I would be reading while he cuts my hair & be done, wrong the whole time he was educating me about my hair and sharing his ideas about the different techniques I can do with my hair that I was not happy about. I've been going to Martin every 3 months for the past 2.5 years for a haircut and color, and he's done a great job every time. He really is an artist when it comes to hair coloring. If you're not sure about the color or style you want your hair to be, but you want something fresh, he can surprise you with a great look! He clearly knows what he's doing because he is also sought after by others in the industry to teach classes and workshops.

I had been seeing the same hair stylist for the past 10 years while living on the East Coast - someone who I had a close relationship with and who knew me and my hair so well! I've gone to Martin Rodriguez at least five times now, and each time has been a great experience. Martin is very experienced and you can tell that he is passionate about his profession. He really knows what he's doing when it comes to coloring hair. Although my hair still looks natural, the combination of colors he uses really makes it stand out a lot more, and it brightens up my whole face. One of my favorite things about going to Martin is that he uses slightly different colors on my hair every time I see him, based on the season. I moved to CA a year ago & Martin has cut/colored my hair 4-5 times. He really listens to what I want & I always walk out of the salon looking & feeling fabulous. I like to wear my hair short & Martin is the first stylist that's been able to deliver on the look I want. An extra bonus is that the grow out on my hair looks as good as when I first got it done. Don't trust the so called reviews about being top hair colorist in Orange County nor the good reviews below. Look down and see he has destroyed other people's hair color because he doesn't know what he's doing.
This was the single worst experience ever with my hair. I went in for highlights and came out with ORANGE hair, and even the orange hair was a different orange on top then on the bottom. It was so bad I couldn't go out in public afterwards. Plus he burned my scalp and when I asked if my scalp should be burning he said it was normal. I had to go to another professional

Like many other women, I have a history of tragic hairstyles--mom's home-cut that made people think I was a little boy, genius home perms that turned my already curly hair into a wild bird's nest, experiments with boxed color when I was a teenager--you name it.

Had my hair done today by Martin. I've had issues with my hair and the products used by my previous hair stylists. After much research Organic color is the way to go. It's good for the scalp and doesn't cause hair loss or breakage. I found Martin and read the reviews, which were helpful, he was so great. My schedule is more than crazy, he accommodated me by giving me an appointment at 6:30a.m. What person does this? The color felt like creme on my scalp and no chemical odor. I highly recommend him, he is professional and does a fantastic job!

I walked in here with an appointment with Martin. The first reaction was WHOAH this place is happenin! It has a nice decor that makes you calm in the midst of a busy salon. The ladies behind the desk are friendly, welcoming and happy. They have coffee and cookies waiting to be snacked upon during the times of lounging in the comfy couches and chairs before your appointment. The place is spick n span. They are fully stocked with some good hair lines especially the new hair care sensation Kalea Rose.
