Myron Cohen has been an entrepreneur for over fifty years. Myron became a top salesman for the Senac Company. He would sell door to door back in the day when it was the norm. He got to know both his customers and suppliers personally. This served him well. Myron started buying and selling on his own, literally right out of the trunk of his car.
It was door to door selling of dry goods with a motto of "50 cents down and 50 cents when I can catch you" as a verbal contract. Neptune Home Furnishings began in 1959 with a succession of moves finding a small store front in Haverhill. Neptune settled at 360 Washington Street and became a corporation in 1963.

Services
As the new year is finally upon us, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your assistance in the past few years. You were instrumental in helping our department develop a reasonable time frame for the re-outfitting of City of Boston Special Police Officers, and your quick response to my uniform problems enabled me to coordinate the recent Policemen's Ball without a hitch.
Every uniform you see here is one of our creations. Feel free to browse around and if you would like any further information about any of the uniforms please use the contact page to reach us. If your honor guard was serviced by Neptune and is not shown below please send us pictures of your department and we would be honored to display them in our gallery.
A little known fact about Neptune is that it has specialized in Class A Uniforms since its inception over 30 years ago. We have outfitted hundreds of departments both Police and Fire and more recently several EMT companies. We can outfit just the superior officers, an entire division or, if you prefer, the entire department.
In actuality many departments across the country have honor guards to fulfill many duties. Honor Guards are called upon to perform a variety of functions, including parades, opening ceremonies, competitions, and funerals for fallen fire and emergency personnel. It's for those who can commit to core values such as Pride, Honor, and Integrity.

I have worked for a College Police Dept. since 1991. I got my very first uniforms from Neptune and I continue to go there today. Even when the store is busy, I have always been treated well. Because I live in the area, I make every effort to go there first, knowing the importance of supporting local businesses ~ Thanks Neptune for Being There for So Many of Us throughout the years !!
