Services
At Busy Bees we have small class sizes, we specialize in early childhood education and we are recognized by High 5 for Quality as promoting excellence in early care and education. When you visit Busy Bees you will notice we have one teacher for every 6 children. This means our teachers are able to implement a high-quality curriculum and truly engage with the children.
Our balanced program offers opportunities for self-directed play, large group/teacher-led time and small group/individual work with teacher support. We welcome children of all races, nationalities, and religions. While we respect the personal beliefs of parents our Admissions Policy requires children to be current with immunizations.
What better way to start the school day than with free play and discovery? Each day materials are set out in thoughtful ways to foster exploration and learning. Playtime has been proven time and again to be so important for a child's social, cognitive and physical development. During free play, children are invited by a teacher to do an activity that supports our curriculum.
The Classroom environment is print-rich! We have labels for our centers and pictures and labels on storage containers. We have at least 2 group stories each day as well as nursery rhymes or poems. Once each week we have a 'theme related' language and literacy activity which could include sequencing a story or predicting what may happen next, creating a booklet, recounting information or coming up with an idea from a story.
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Our STEM class encourages natural curiosity to encourage children to question, hypothesize, observe, explore and build. Children will have the materials to put their ideas into action, reflect on them, then figure out how they can take this idea or process up another notch!

Both of my kids love Busy Bees! The teachers are well experienced, loving, and caring about each child. The class size and the ratio are excellent so each child gets enough attention.
My older daughter spoke in different language at home and didn’t know how to speak in English until preschool but she had an easy transition both academically and socially when she got in kindergarten because of Busy Bees. She learned so much from the preschool programs, teachers and of course, great friends! Now she is in second grade and doing everything well at school.

Our children love going to Busy Bees! They have a great time learning new concepts as well as making great friends. As a parent, I find the staff very caring and nurturing. They keep us very well informed of everything happening at school and in the community. The facility is bright, stimulating and impeccably clean! I can't wait for my youngest to start there!

My daughter is in her 2nd year of preschool at busy bee's and loves it. The teachers are amazing, the school is always very clean and my daughter has learned so much, she is ready for kindergarten in the fall. My son will start Busy Bee's next school year and is beyond excited. I'm so happy to have found Busy Bee's, my children's futures are off to bright starts.

We have both of our children gone through Busy Bee Preschool. And the experience have been phenomenal for our children and us as parents. The education they learned transitioned to kindergarten with ease. Susan, the Owner, have a knack for hiring great pre School teachers. Highly recommended Pre School for your little ones.

Busy Bees is a special place for our family. All three of my daughters attended this preschool. I have two that have graduated and one that is currently enrolled. My older daughters were more than prepared for kindergarten after graduating the Bumblebees class. They received an excellent foundation for academics . The program is a great balance between play and classroom readiness. The teachers and director are fantastic; everyone is professional, yet warm and caring. My daughter LOVES to go to preschool. I highly recommend this quality preschool program.

Our child is finishing her second year with Busy Bees and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The staff is very professional and caring. Every day is full of creative ways of teaching and simple fun that the kids need so much. The teacher to student ratio is very impressive and gives lots of one on one attention to the kids. Thanks to this great preschool we are confident our girl will be well prepared for kindergarten. Highly recommend!

Busy Bees is a great preschool! The teachers do a wonderful job of coming up with engaging and creative activities each day. It's nice that they do an assortment of jobs ranging from crafts, to academics, and everything in between! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming to the kids AND parents!
I also appreciate the smaller class size. I love knowing that my daughter gets a lot of one-on-one attention, while still being part of a well sized group of kids all working together.
I would recommend Busy Bees to anyone who wants their kids to have a fun and creative experience at school!

I have 3 children who have been lucky enough to be part of Busy Bees Preschool. My son spent 2 years in this program and it was amazing how well it prepared him for Kindergarten (academically and socially). He looked forward to going to school and met so many great friends, as well as myself meeting so many great Moms! My twin girls are 3 years… old and started at Busy Bees last August. I was so excited to be back and to see their growth and love for the teachers and school develop, as it did for their big brother. They started out very shy and timid, but within a week, they were waiting

I can now see why Busy Bees Preschool is consistently rated as the best preschool in El Dorado Hills. My daughter had the good fortune of experiencing both the Bumble Bees Program 3 mornings a week and the Afternoon Enrichment Program on Tuesday and Thursday. As a former preschool and elementary teacher for 23 years, I know first hand that both… programs provided a developmentally appropriate curriculum that was filled with rich and engaging learning experiences. Both programs centered on creating confidence, independence and a true passion for learning in all children.
