JDP Theatre Co. is a nonprofit (501c3) community theatre organization that was founded by Jillian Gesualdi, Jessica Mayette, and Judy de Perla in June of 2018.

We at JDP are very grateful for the support we've received within our community and seek to show that appreciation by giving back to other great causes. Throughout the year, we raise funds and/or volunteer with other nonprofit organizations to help spread awareness for worthy causes. Check out some of our present and past endeavors!
Our Main Stage program produces professional-quality dramas and musicals. Casts typically range in age from high school to college. Each production is staffed by JDP contractors, who have years of experience in their field, and is performed in a rented proscenium theater. If you would like to audition for one of our Main Stage projects, check the "Auditions" tab at the top of the page for upcoming opportunities.
We also offer a "duet discount" for two participants in the same session: $25/30 minutes or $40/60 minutes. Open to all ages, our privates run throughout the year as either fixed weekly appointments or scheduled "drop-ins". Upon your registration, we will match you with one of our qualified staff members, who will work with you on whichever skills you request.
Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos.

JDP is an INCREDIBLE company! They have made a safe and welcoming space for everyone. This theater company is unlike any community theater I have ever seen. There is no detail that goes unnoticed at JDP so the production value is always outstanding. From the moment I stepped foot into this company, I was filled with love and support from everyone.
There are so many different aspects for self-growth within this company from private lessons, to extra dance classes. All of the teaching artists at this company and their board, care so deeply about each and every single person involved in their shows

JDP has given me and everyone that has been a part of it the chance to do what they love in a positive, professional environment. The staff and educators are hardworking, kind, and so professional! They put their hearts and souls into making sure their students and casts truly shine in their performances. You can tell that each and everyone person truly cares and is excited to be there. I love being a part of this company and have met so many wonderful people and have done such amazing, high quality shows! JDP has let me grow as a performer in a safe, welcoming environment. JDP is a company that I truly am so proud to be a part of. Watching and helping this company grow is amazing and truly makes my heart warm. I've never dreamed of being a part of creating and choreographing shows, but Jillian gave me the chance and I do not know what I would be doing now. I am truly blessed to have these people in my life. JDP is my family and will forever mean the most to me! Working with and for JDP as the dance captain for the company shows and as the choreographer for the childrens shows is an honor. I wouldve never thought that theatre was for me because I had always been a studio dancer and I've always been really shy. But JDP is now something I cant live without. As an advanced dancer, they found a way to individually challenge me by making me dance captain & childrens show choreographer so that I'm using different skills I havent used before in communication, leadership, and creativity. They make me feel safe, and I've made some of my best friends there that

The staff at JDP Theatre Co have helped my daughter overcome her anxiety about being onstage after having had a terrible experience elsewhere. It is so wonderful to see her excited and proud smile from the stage! And it's also great that their programming super affordable too. Thank you JDP for helping a single mom help her daughter be her best self!
