St. Michael's Episcopal Day Preschool, a ministry of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, is a non-profit private Christian school. We offer a quality program that is developmentally appropriate and enriched with early literacy, math, science, art and social development activities. Most importantly, the school promotes love and acceptance for all in a Christian atmosphere.
Services
We work very closely with the Child Care Council in many different programs. We accept subsidized child care funding offered to low income families who need help paying for childcare. The Child Care Council asked our school to be a part of a Channel 7 New Segment about programs offered through the Child Care Council.
The Butterfly Class is for children between the ages of 24 months to 36 months old. At this age, little ones are starting to learn about their own independence as well as becoming interested in others around them. Our environment is designed to support areas of social, physical, emotional and language development.
The Owl and Elephant three year old class are very warm and inviting. These classes are set up to be age appropriate. Although the Owl and Elephant classes are structured and follow a yearly curriculum, there is always time for free play and being silly. The children are "playing" for part of class time, yet they are still learning, as children are active learners.
The Pre-Kindergarten program at St. Michael's Preschool has a strong foundation for kindergarten readiness. We use exciting, hands on materials to help our children prepare for the next level of their education in a positive learning environment. Along with the many different positive learning activities that we introduce to the children in the Pre-K program, we also have our Pre-K curriculum Get Set for School "Learning without Tears".
St. Michael's Preschool is a ministry of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, which is a non-profit organization. Many companies love donating to non-profits or adopting non-profits in some way or another. Please let the Preschool Director know if you find a company or other organization that is interested in providing support to St. Michael's Preschool.

Ms. Amy was my son's preschool teacher when he was in the 4's preschool class. I liked the small class size. My son learned to write and literacy was cultivated in this classroom, too. Also, she taught all the basic rules taught in Preschool and Kindergarten: some that I recall now are sharing, taking turns, helping, table manners, washing hands, sneezing into your elbow instead of on your hands. The regular daily schedule was wonderful for the children who need to know what to expect during the day. My son loved it and so did I!
