According to the Brick Industry Association, chimneys require special attention and maintenance to prevent costly damage caused by water penetration. Because chimneys project above the roof line, they are vulnerable to the elements. Nearly every chimney we encounter has signs of water damage! The first step is to determine the cause and then find the best corrective measures.
Ronica came to Rhino Chimney Service with over twenty years of facilitating the efficient functioning of an office via customer satisfaction, administrative, clerical, financial and managerial tasks. In 2018, Ronica and Shane purchased the business from Eric with the sole intention of continuing the good business practices and great customer service and to uphold the great reputation it has taken the Rhino Chimney Service team years to build.
If your appliance or your venting system has not changed and you plan to use your system as you have in the past, then a Level 1 inspection is a minimum requirement. A Level 1 inspection is recommended for a chimney under continued service, under the same conditions, and with the continued use of the same appliance.
The National Fire Protection Association Standard 211 says, Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances. Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs shall be done if necessary. This is the national safety standard and is the correct way to approach the problem.
Currently the record goes to the Ekibastuz GRES-2 Power Station with a 1337 ft tall coal-fueled power generating station that was built in 1987 in Ekibastuz, Kazakhstan. The US currently has a 1217 ft. One of the bizarre stories involving chimney sweeps as good luck symbols also involved pigs. It was for a period of time a custom on New Year's Day for a town chimney sweep to carry a pig through the streets.

Awful experience. I scheduled an appointment nearly 3 months out for a blower/motor replacement. The crew showed up with a work order to sweep my chimney which was NOT what I scheduled the appointment for, in fact this was never even discussed in my phone call. When I scheduled the appointment I went over in GREAT detail what my situation was and what exactly I needed. Two gentlemen showed up, one was friendly and the other was incredibly rude. As he was leaving and slamming my door behind him, he told me that no one would replace the part needed on my 20 year old piece of equipment which I know

We were extremely disappointed in our appointment last week. After waiting weeks for this appointment (& with the weather getting cooler) the grouchy tech showed up banging on our basement door that has a note on it about coming up one level to our front door. As I’m leaning out my kitchen window trying to talk to him (because he would not walk up the steps and around the corner to my front door) he was acting inconvenienced and said that he would have to drag the hose through the wet grass (which he didn’t want to do) or go through our basement to do the work. His attitude for the few minutes

Outstanding customer service! I am beyond impressed with all of the empoyees that I have dealt with. Each time I called the woman in the office (her name escapes me) was warm, pleasant, accommodating, and informative. Both of the techs that came to the house (Eric and Jack I believe) were extremely friendly. They worked hard cleaning and repairing my pellet stove. They gave me pointers and helpfu tips on how to use and care for my stove. I'm a truly impressed and highly recommend them. Job well done!

We have two gas inserts put in two of our seven chimney's. The work was professional; thorough; clean and on-time. They spent time explaining the operation and helping us pick out what we wanted. They leave everything as clean and as in place as possible. They are very conscientious about their work. They have also been back to service and check on our inserts. I heartily recommend them to everyone!
