Designed with tube to tube construction, built with high modulus carbon fiber with an aesthetic 3k weave that surpasses the needs of Pros and Weekend Warriors alike. The Battle Axe SL features a tapered headtube and provides road damping carbon lay up in the rear stays. A fusion of aluminum and carbon that creates one great, tight cornering, and responsive ride.

Jack Kane Bikes (The Bicycle Shop) is a rare gem in what can be a desert of first rate bike shops. I do not think people understand how rare of an opportunity one has to have a combination of access to custom made bicycles and servicing abilities. Jack and his family have been in business since 1973, meaning they know their stuff! My husband and I went in for bicycles, not really knowing much about them. Jack was great! He took the time to really educate us about the different types of bikes. When we each found a bicycle, they even allowed us to try them out before committing to it. We both left with a bike we love! These are very high quality bikes, and are worth the investment.

I had Jack Kane Custom Cycles bond two aluminum inserts into the carbon steerer tube of two Pinarello forks. The process was quick (1 week) and problem free. Jack Kane is very responsive with questions you may have. Above all else, I believe Jack Kane is one of the most experienced and passionate about bicycles. I was looking for a company to install a pair of water bottle bosses on a Ridley X-Fire carbon cyclocross frame. Within hours of my email, I received a response from Zane. The communication continued to be excellent throughout the process. The work was completed very quickly and the return packaging was among the best I have seen for a frame alone in a box. The quality of the work was also top notch. After 8 months of heavy usage, the water bottle bosses have performed as intended, with no issues at all.

My experience with Jack Kane's shop was absolutely fantastic. I had previously wasted a lot of time trying to find a competent artist to little avail. Eventually, I found Jack Kane's shop through Google and reached out to them. After exchanging a few emails with Zane Schweer, it became obvious that I'd found the right people to handle the paint job on my most recent custom bike project.

Kane Bikes did a carbon repair and full paint job for me on my 2011 Specialized Tarmac S-works. The shop was timely in their response and worked quickly to meet a training trip deadline that I had - even though the deadline was right after Christmas!
The repair job was excellent. They repaired the carbon in a way that I can't even see the defect and did a full re-paint. The bike looks better than when I bought it (I think their matte finish was just that much cleaner). I'm really happy with my frame and my experience with Kane Bikes.

I am so satisfied with my bike and the experience I had working with Jack and Zane. That is in itself a colossal understatement. Their communication throughout the entire process was incredible. Jack is an artist pure and simple and is amazing. I had Jack Kane and his team to repair my broken Trek Madone carbon frame and could not be more pleased with the results. From the first email to the latest one, Zane and Jack were an excellent company to do business with. I was kept well informed about the repair process before and during the short time it took them to finish the frame. The price.was reasonable and the results were truly amazing. Not only did they do a seamless job of blending the carbon at the breaks, but they also touched up the nicks and scratches, and clear coated the entire bike. I think my bike looked good before I crashed

I live in Los Angeles and was looking for a company to repaint my red Time road bike which I have owned since 2009. I LOVE my Time bike and didn't want to spend $4k for another Time just because I don't like the original red paint job.
I searched on-line and found Jack Kane Bikes in North Carolina. I saw all the before and after photos and knew this was a very reputable company, although I did want to find a company in California. I emailed Jack Kane Bikes and two other California based companies and ONLY Jack Kane Bikes replied. I could have followed up with the other California companies

I was extremely impressed with the detail oriented, professional and high quality work Jack Kane Bikes provides. I sent in a carbon frame to be painted and was nothing short of being thrilled with the end product. I mainly worked with Zane and he was very patient with me while we found the perfect design. I recently had an accident with a very new bike. After finding out the only alternative was to buy a new, costly frame, I looked into carbon fiber repair. Doing research on the web, I find a few shops. Out of the 5 emails I sent, I only got one response (and it was a very quick response) from Zane Schweer at Jack Kane Bikes. Having never gone through an issue like this, Zane patiently answered all my questions and gave me the confidence to send him my bike frame.

What a great experience I had with this company. I wanted to get a custom paint job on a beach cruiser for my wife and searched quite extensively to find the right company. These guys were professional, quick to reply, and very knowledgeable regarding any questions I had. I sent them the bike and the design and within weeks, my newly painted bike was shipped back to me and looked even better than I could have ever imagined! I highly recommend this company for any custom paint jobs you may require.
