We are an event center which provides a full range of social, and business catering services in a beautiful natural setting, overlooking one of the area's loveliest golf courses. The venue occupies a colonial cape cod building especially designed for its unique needs. The space provides an airy country club ambiance featuring large open vistas overlooking two of the prettiest golf holes in Michiana.
The pergola set on the south lawn offers a charming and romantic outdoor setting. Surrounded by a gorgeous, natural scenery, share your vows of love & commitment to one another with your most cherished family and friends. Time to celebrate your wonderful new beginning. The ballroom offers a blank canvas with easy access to the patio and grounds for a seamless indoor/ outdoor setting.
Our Micro Wedding is a beautiful opportunity to enjoy an intimate and romantic wedding with your closest loved ones. This short & sweet micro style wedding is perfect for couples who want more than a courthouse ceremony, but don't want the stress of planning and paying for a full scale wedding. Have your Ceremony or Vow Renewal on the south lawn under the pergola then move to the patio for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and mingling with your guests.
The indoor and outdoor use of the Venue offer a versatile use of space tailored to any guests size of 30 - 300. The ballroom can be divided into three separate sections and the lobby, veranda, tented patio & south lawn offer additional break out space for creative use. The space is great for bridal & baby showers, birthday parties, family reunions, rehearsal dinners, dinner parties, celebration of life, funeral luncheon, etc.

It was a beautiful summer evening at the Blue Heron. Tables were set up outside in the veranda and dinner was banquet style right inside, a few steps away from seating.Food was delish! Drinks were available at an outside bar with professional bartenders. Good sound system. Recommend highly for your next special occasion. Oh! And the beautiful green landscape surrounding the facility is amazing!

Lexi at The Blue Heron was phenomenal! She goes above and beyond to help make sure your wedding is exactly what you want. We had pink ceiling fabric and up lighting and the whole venue looked like a fairytale, it was perfect! Lexi is professional and always responded to my emails in less than a day. She is super friendly and so easy to work with! I would recommend The Blue Heron every time!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with nearly 45 family members at The Blue Heron. Lexi and her staff created a delicious menu and the venue was superb. She was very accommodating to all our concerns with a few diet restrictions and presented terrific alternatives. Beautiful memories were created with Lexi's help.
It should also be known The Blue Heron has Takeout Tuesday lunches. Every week a different menu from which to select. Please check it out. You'll be delighted with her lunch offering. The Takeout Tuesday lunches also receives a FIVE STAR rating from us.

We were lucky enough to book The Blue Heron in June after our original reception venue closed. I was so stressed but The Blue Heron was the best decision ever! I don't know how they weren't my first choice in the first place. This place will wow your guests. Lexi was AMAZING. Everything was so professional and designed so beautifully. Their planning abilities are completely unparallel as are the scenic views, the reception space, the food, the staff, etc. All our guests kept commenting how first class everything was. We had our wedding reception here this past June, and loved it! It is a gorgeous space with lots of natural light (great for the beautiful South Bend summer evenings!). We found the prices very reasonable. And Lexi went above and beyond in making our event everything we dreamed. She was very professional and extremely accommodating, even for last minute changes. She took care of so many of the little details and set up the venue beautifully. She was such a joy to work with! I would highly recommend!

Hosted a bridal shower here and it was wonderful. The full service option made it possible for me to pull this off coming from out of state for my wonderful friend. Lexi was thorough and helpful and they made it such an easy weekend. The room was beautiful and everyone mentioned how great all of the food was, including dessert and mimosa bars. Highly recommend.

We had our wedding there and it was absolutely amazing! Lexi, the coordinator there, made everything so simple from the very beginning. She was on top of everything and we had no worries coming into our big day. It was one of the best days of my life and I have the blue heron and Lexi to thank for it!!
