Services
Experience the Courtyard, from just inside the tasting room door you get a quick look at who we are! Two tasting areas, one for sweet wines and one for dry wines. On the right is our sweet wine tasting bar, fun and friendly, complete with a glass block bar that changes moods, well colors at least. Our sweet wine labels are dazzling, just like the wine inside!
Enjoy your private excursion out to one of our vineyards and to a picnic table by the creek! Then soak in the beauty of nature while enjoying your own locally crafted picnic basket, tablecloth, cloth napkins, and two Courtyard signature wine glasses. Sandwich Choices are Homemade Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, or Tuna Salad on a croissant or a Fresh White Bread Cold Cut Honey Ham or Turkey sandwich, croissant option also available.
Courtyard's focus on quality wines starts right in the vineyard, our attention to each detail from vine to glass has resulted in numerous awards along the way. Over a decade of consistent focus and over 100 awarded medals from various wine competitions, is definitely something we are proud of. Our awards cover all of the wine styles we offer from dry barrel aged reds, crisp dry whites and wonderfully fruit forward sweet wines.
Our grape farming operation is named "South Shore Farms", started in 1989 when Randy and Laura moved back to Randy's heritage roots in this area. At first, South Shore Farms was just growing grapes for Welch's. Over 2 decades the farm expanded to well more than 125 acres of vineyards and diversified into several different varieties of wine grapes in addition to the Concords for Welch's.
From growing grapes to pressing freshly harvested fruit right off the vine, fermenting, barrel aging and bottling, we do it all. We specialize in small batch, hand crafted wines with distinction. Our dry red wines are fermented on the skins, releasing the rich flavors hidden in the skins and then after fermentation, the resulting new wines are put into Oak Barrels.

The decor of this establishment was beautiful. The souvenirs were nice. The 3 liters of Twisted Red that I took home was amazing. I'm not sure because of the season were in if that's why the have no appetizers, but because of that I gave it 4 stars. I'll for sure return to this winery in season and my ratings may change.

Randy and Laura couldn’t be nicer. We were there through Harvest Host. They were awesome. My wife loved their wine “First Kiss”. I liked the Cab Franc. Highly recommend Courtyard Winery!

The highlight of our wine tour. This place has the best Apple Pie dessert to go with your wine. It has Penn State ice cream, fruit bites, caramelized walnuts, and a raspberry drizzle served in a freshly baked waffle boat. Omg! I would have taken a picture but I couldn't stop eating.

Great wine, really loved the dry rose, and Riesling! And the sweet wine with dark chocolate, yummy, tasted like chocolate covered cherries.

Awesome experience—was in Erie with my wife for a few days and was looking at all the different wineries for a wine tour. So glad I stumbled upon the option for a private tour with Randy here. HIGHLY recommend! Randy was super nice and we left there with a ton of knowledge and several bottles of wine we discovered!

We went to an engagement party here. The party was catered and the food was excellent! In addition to several excellent wines they offered wine slushies and locally made beer. Court yard also has an outdoor "courtyard " with plenty of seating, an excellent view of the vineyard, and a gorgeous fountain! The party went extremely well and was exceptionally well organized. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

This was one of my favorite wine tours I've ever been on in my life. We got to ride right onto the vineyard while the owner explained the backstory of the farm, his winery and family. I definitely geeked out when I saw the lab, but the cellar was the best part!

We took the wine tour on Wednesday. It was wonderful and I was surprised that you got to go out into the field to see exactly how the grapes grow. We learned so much and the wine tasting afterwards was wonderful This was well worth the price I paid for the tour. Don’t doubt yourself, take the tour today. Everybody is friendly and they add a little personal touch at the end.

I always enjoy a visit to Courtyard! The staff is really friendly & helpful. Their wines are very good & so are their prices! It's nice to relax inside but they also have outdoor seating! They have a nice selection of wines. Also it's easy to find this winery. I recommend a visit here when visiting different wineries in the North East region!

Visited Courtyard in the fall and brought home the Noiret. A great wine that paired beautifully with prime rib on Christmas Day. Great experience and great wine.

There is no better wine. My husband and I have tried so many different wines from this producer. Red, white, blushes, and each and every one is exceptional. We didn't find a wine we didn't really enjoy. Every time we have friends over, we open a bottle of Court Yard wine and everyone always enjoys it.
Not only are the wines wonderful, I love that there is absolutely no headache the next day. None. Courtyard has a wine for everyone. We shop at the Ross Park mall store and we love that we are able to taste as many as we like. It's helped us select wines that we are now, completely

Very unique place! I love that they have two tasting bars, one for sweet wine lovers and a second for people who like dry wine! The young man (I feel bad I can't remember his name because he was great) who did our tasting was nice enough to bring over dry samples for my mom to the sweet tasting bar. Great experience!!!

I love chocolate wines and Courtyards is great! Also purchased Twisted Red and Ruby Rouge...so excited that they will be sold at wine and spirits soon!!

After a few hours of taking my son to the Lake Shore Railway Museum that is also in North East, mommy wanted a bit of fun too. We stopped by Courtyard Wineries and me and my Aunt who was also visiting from out of state (me from Chicago and my Aunt from Dallas) wanted to just peruse the winery. The area is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by grape orchards. As soon as I saw a wine called Chocopelli( I am a chocolate fiend) and it was only $3.00 for 6 tastings, I decided me and my Aunt had to do the wine tasting. Anthony at Courtyard Wineries was so knowledgable and friendly. He definately knew

Nice selection of dry wines. Accommodating host as this was not our first stop. Shop was decent especially for a fairly new vineyard. Bottom line, we bought the wine and other stuff in the gift shop and we are picky.

Although we were the only people in the tasting room at the time of our visit, we had heard from Anthony (stellar service, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable) that they were quite busy earlier in the day. I loved the unique setup of two different tasting bars, one featuring the traditional dry wines of the LaCourette brand, while the other tasting bar featured sweet wines of the Barjo Bons ("Sweet friends") brand. The dry tasting bar was set up very formally while the sweet tasting bar had neon lights and a more relaxing "wine bar"-like atmosphere. In the tasting, you can

Really wonderful customer service. Anthony and Jen were awesome and so helpful. 4 tastings for $2 here, and separate bars for dry and sweet wines. We tried the Chocopelli, Ruby's Rouge, White Lies, and Merchant. All were delicious! I purchased Ruby's Rouge - the first red wine I actually enjoyed. Anthony was so charismatic and knowledgeable and had really great recommendations for other wineries to try. A great experience!

Great customer service and very patient. I loved their wine selection. Not too happy with the 1in pour, can't get a good grasp on the wine unless you pay for a double sample. Other than that, the facility is beautiful, good shopping selection for us shopaholics. Stopped in from our drive back NY-Chicago. Wish I had time to visit other nearby ones. The vineyards look amazing.

One of the new wineries in the area. We had two friendly pourers. They have a dry wine tasting area and a sweet wine area. That was good for my wife and me - I prefer the dry and she prefers the sweet. They did have some decent dry reds that I liked - a Lemberger and a Noiret.
The building that it is housed in has gone through many changes - I remember when it was a Lamborghini tractor dealership. It was also an office supply store.
