Dr. Brent Spencer is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon practicing in Frisco, TX. He practices general dermatology and surgical dermatology with an emphasis on the intricate suturing techniques of facial and neck reconstructions. Additionally, he specializes in cosmetic dermatology, including laser treatments and cosmetic injectables, such as Botox and fillers.
Mohs surgery is an advanced technique where the physician serves as the surgeon, pathologist, and reconstructive surgeon. During the initial portion of the procedure, the surgeon removes a layer of skin around the visible portion of the tumor.
Immediate microscopic examination of the tissue removed allows the surgeon to map out the skin cancer, beyond what is visible to the naked eye, and remove additional tissue from only the areas that are involved with the tumor.The removal process stops when there is no longer any evidence of cancer remaining in the surgical site.

Our patient portal is a new tool that existing patients can use to communicate with the practice via the Internet. Current functionality will allow patients to view appointments, send messages to the practice, view a summary of a visit, and change contact information. In the future, other features will be added including refill requests, viewing of lab results, and scheduling appointments.

I had such a positive experience here being treated for my acne. The appointment was quick but not rushed. They listened to my backstory and provided me with options specific to fit my needs. They also were understanding that I didn't have insurance so they gave me affordable options. Meridith was who I had, very nice!

I was so pleased with my experience! The staff was professional and courteous, I was seen exactly at the time of my appointment, received the most thorough skin cancer screening, and was personally escorted throughout my visit. I had another issue of hair thinning and loss and was given an explanation of potential culprits and instructions on what to do next. Not only was this a wonderful experience, the office is aesthetically appealing. This will be my go to for skin care going forward!!!

Very nice experience. I had only a short wait in the front waiting room. Doctor and staff were very professional and efficient, with a friendly manner. Dr.Spencer was very thorough in his visual exam of all skin zones. I recommend this group to others. By the way, they have a beautiful, modern office.

Love Dr. Spencer and his staff. I don’t know how they do it, but I can always get an appointment when I need it, and there is never a wait in the office. I have a toddler, so being able to get in and out of the office in under an hour allows me to make appointments while he has child care. I have a serious skin condition, and they are always compassionate and eager to help me access a new treatment when necessary and available. Dr. Spencer is knowledgeable about the latest biologics.

I was very pleased with how I was treated by Dr. Spencer and his staff during my recent office visit. Dr. Spencer went the extra mile to make sure he answered all of my questions which I greatly appreciated. The front desk and nurse/PA staff were helpful as well. After my initial visit one year ago, I recommended DSSI to my wife and she was pleased with how she was treated as well.

I had an appointment scheduled through my primary physician. The process was uncomplicated and check in was very efficient as I had already filled in the paperwork available on their website (recommend you do that). Once I was taken to the consultation room, Dr. Brent Spencer arrived soon after his assistant spoke with me - I really appreciated the short wait time. Our family loves Dr. Spencer. We have been with his practice for several years. Our teenagers have to go and see him on a regular basis and appointments are always easy and quick. He and his staff are always on time. Everybody is very friendly. Questions are always answered. We would not go anywhere else.
