Whether or not you use your chimney regularly, the NFPA and Gilmartin Chimney and Vent recommends that your chimney and venting system be inspected yearly. If you do use your chimney each year, flammable and corrosive creosote and soot can build up inside of the flue and need to be removed.
If you don't use your chimney each year, it still needs to be checked for structural integrity, due to the long and tough winters we have here in New Hampshire, and exposure to the elements year-round.Gilmartin Chimney and Vent understands that regular inspections are essential for chimney maintenance.

What I appreciate most about Brian and his company is they are honest genuine people who truly love what they do and are in this for all the right reasons. If it wasn't for Brian, I can't imagine what we would have done with the work we needed to our house and our family is forever grateful for Brian's kindness and knowledge to keep our family safe.

Wonderful husband/wife team and kept me in the loop as I needed a chimney sweep asap. I was treated with respect (I am a new transplant from Georgia to NH and didn't know anything about wood burning stoves) and received great instruction plus now I have a clean chimney. Looking forward to many years of continued service from Gilmartin!

They are extremely professional! The general man that came out and inspected our wood stove vent and vent for furnace. He was extremely knowledgeable about venting, masonry for chimneys, preventable issues, and even ideas going forward to name a few. I strongly recommend them! Great price on inspections too! (NOTE: I sure as heck wouldn’t trust the person posting the one star review.)

After noticing dust/lint building up on my siding directly under an exhaust vent I called to see if someone could come take a look. Brian was very accommodating despite his busy schedule. He was quick to diagnose the situation and even went so far as to clean as much of the siding as he could reach. I will definitely be calling again with any future needs.
