In 1948, the Ruthfred Shopping Center location opened followed by the 1963 opening of our second store which is now located in Waterdam Commons. I like Miller's Ace Hardware.
I purchased the Milwaukee hand dolly to help with the move I was doing and was shocked to find I chose to return it. The staircase made of wood where I moved to has 26 steps with a platform at 21st step. By the tenth step of the dolly working against me, I was ready to sling it across the planet out of frustration. I don't have time or energy for these shenanigans. When I would pull the dolly up and over the step, it would roll backwards to the back of that step and then you had to expend more energy to get it up and over that lip. This dolly stated it would hold

Small town hardware store. A nice option if you are in a pinch and don't want to make the journey to a larger hardware store like lowes or home depot. I ordered a decorative log display online, and picked up in the store. We were missing a few bolts when we tried putting it together and will just have to find them elsewhere.

We always prefer to shop local small businesses rather than impersonal huge conglomerates but Miller's Ace Hardware has a limited selection and the most frustrating thing of all is they send out discount coupons as incentives to visit however inorder to redeem any of them, one must jump through hoops to the point of frustration. And as you present the coupon to be discounted when paying at the check out register you'll often find it still doesn't qualify for any discount 🤔 Their hours are very inconvenient too!

Ordinarily I always support local businesses. But where do I start on this one?
1. Downright rude customer service many, many times.
2. Higher Prices than other stores
3. Store never seems to be open when I need something
4. And if I need five things, guaranteed they only have 3 of them.
So I don't even bother anymore. I take the extra few minutes and go to Lowe's or HD straight away.

Used to LOVE to support this local hardware store...but went here and tried to pay in cash and they wouldn't accept it. RIDICULOUS logic. Lost a lot of respect for this place and the owners. As a matter of principal, I'll no longer support this business even after they "return to normal and start accepting cash again. Lol.

I called them today to get a price on two items- topsoil and grass seed. Topsoil was quoted at 2.49 a 40 pound bag, and Penn State grass seed, 11.99 for a 5 pound bag- far from the lowest cost, but they were close so I decided to pay the extra. When I got there I was told that the prices were 2.99 a bag for topsoil and 14 for the Penn State grass seed. The cashier said that they'd honor the phone quote. Then a manager of some sort came around and said, "our prices are clearly marked, those are the prices". I said thanks and walked out, and, I was leaving, he said in a real sarcastic

You can find just about anything here from a plunger when your porcelain princess pukes back at you, to an exotic collection of bird feed, more Christmas lights than the Griswald's and enough Weber and Yeti products to max out your AMEX that are actually priced better than Amazon! Greg, the owner, is a fantastic gentleman and his employees know what they are talking about and eager to help you. You rarely find these kind of employees at the Big Box stores and this is where Ace sets itself apart from it's competitors. They really are people and these people serve their customers very

Do not shop here if you are female ---Especially an older female. I went to the McMurray store 5/19 to take advantage of the half off paint sale. I picked out 4 colors (Valspar chips) and clearly asked for the" highest quality available" -- due to the sale it was chaos and I waited over an hour and then went to check-out waited there--- gave my credit card and FINALLT GOT OUT OF THERE. When I got home I realized that the paint I received was the "LOWEST QUALITY". I called the manager, Woody, explained the problem , and he told me to bring the paint in and he would "eat

Friendly, helpful staff. They manage to jam quite a bit into this little store and I much prefer it to the big box stores. I almost always find what I am looking for here. I like the birding section as well as the garden store. They have a good rewards program, it seems I am always getting a coupon for $5 in the mail.
