Older bathtubs are not the same size as the new ones made today. That poses a problem in trying to get the tub to fit into the exact same spot as the old tub. New bathtubs may be bought for less than $300, but the total price for complete replacement may run up to $2000, $3000 even $4000 or more. Walls have to be demolished and tiles may have to be replaced.
In addition, a plumber, a tile setter and perhaps an electrician will be needed in order to put the fixtures back together. Another problem with tub replacement is that the old tub, tiles and walls end up in the landfills. Bathtub resurfacing saves time because it is completed in a day and the tub can be used 24 hours or 48 hours later depending on the coating used by the refinishing company.

Dan and his assistant did a fantastic job. I have worked with various contractors and they kept me informed of every step of the process. My tub looks phenomenal! It looks new! I would recommend this company to anyone. Great service, great price! Everything looks wonderful. It really does look like I have two new bath tubs and a new sink.

Hughes Reglazing did an amazing job on our 1960 cast iron tub. It was discolored, chipping and looked awful. After the refinish work it looks almost brand new! It's a bright white and so shiny, I'm very pleased with the work. They were so good at explaining the process, answering all my questions, and most reasonable on price. They did a great job on taping everything off and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their tub redone.

Dave from Hughes was out today to perform a repair on the drain in my shower. The tub is the original equipment from 1973. We thought that the tub might need relaxing , but I was informed by Dave the tub and surround are in really good shape. There was just a trouble spot around the drain and also by the tub spout. Dave quickly took care of the needed repairs and gave the tub and surrounded a much needed facelift. Very happy with the work and the price. Would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Dave did a great job, the 1930's farmers kitchen sink looks brand new! The scheduling process was painless, Dave called to confirm his arrival time on the day of the appointment. Dave was very careful to protect surroundings (was nervous about marble surround) and thorough preparation of the sink with tedious sanding. All in all, a great experience.

I would highly recommend Hughes Reglazing! I had them reglaze my bath tub that no longer had any shine and always looked dirty. The process only took 3 hours, the staff was professional and friendly and my tub turned out better than I ever thought it would! My tub is sparkling white and always looks clean now. I’m so glad I had it reglazed instead of replacing it.

Dan came out to our house in early November and refinished our one piece fiberglass bathtub/surround. It turned out very nice and was much cheaper than replacing and didn't require demolition of my bathroom. He also guaranteed the finish for 5 years. I am very happy with the results and think refinishing was a good choice.
