I have been dealing with chronic pain for almost a decade. Been through a lot of treatment stateside and overseas. Attended several physical therapy treatment as well and nothing has helped until I found Dr. Ueno. He was able to answer all my question in my first consultation, explained things thoroughly especially about the treatment process and what to expect and most importantly he listens. I never had an acupuncture treatment before. I have tried all the available options for me that my insurance will pay and I was not a good candidate for surgery either so I kind of like at the end of my rope

I searched for Dr. Ueno since I had gone to him years ago - so I am happy I found him. Went again with a friend and he is one still the BEST!! We both came away feeling energized with less pain - his neck and my knees. Dr. Mark is amazing. This was my first time trying acupuncture. His treatments work!! He also recommends herbs that help too. He is very warm, inviting and very knowledgeable on TCM. I cannot recommend Dr. Ueno (TJ) enough. I came to him when no doctor or medicine could help me with my heartburn, and after a course of treatment for several months, I am 90% better. This was approx 2 years ago and I have stayed better. I do come back for "tune ups" maybe once every three months and those keep my heartburn at bay. I do not understand Eastern Medicine but I do know that TJ's treatments gave me significant qualify of life back. I am so grateful for his help!

I was new to acupuncture but had been wanting to try it for a while. I am so glad I did! Taejean Converti listened carefully to my concerns - including lots of work stress, some back pain, and wanting better sleep. I also love that she has ideas for herbs to try if you're curious, as well as tips and tricks like what to eat for better sleep and pressure points you can try on yourself at home. Dr. Taejean Converti has completely shifted my understanding of tolerating pain and relying on counter pain meds for my bulging neck disc pain. After moving to a new place in late January, the disc slipped, and it was difficult to stand, sleep, lift my arm, and pretty much love without having to take a ton of ibuprofen or icing it for long periods. Dr. Mark is phenomenal. Sachiko is very attentive and caring. The entire staff is a pleasure to deal with. I started seeing Dr. Ueno in the summer of 2018 for my migraines and pain associated with knee and shoulder surgeries. I'd had acupuncture before from another provider, but it had been a while and I was very familiar with what acupuncture is and how the process goes.

Dr. Ueno and his team are pure magic. And, he recently added Mr. Minku Kang, massage therapist. I'm a fitness instructor, at gym teaching or exercising 4-5 hours a day. I NEED a good weekly massage! LOL.
Well, just had my first 45 minute session with Minku. Exceptional massage. Wow. Possibly best massage I've ever had.

Minku clearly has great training and technique. Polite. Strong. And something more.
My impression during the massage was that Minku was analyzing every muscle, changing the massage to match the analysis. Thinking. And adapting his approach

Mr. Ueno is a gentle, capable healer. After taking down a comprehensive health history, he listened carefully and formulated a treatment plan. There was a huge difference in my frozen shoulder after just one or two visits. My physical therapist was amazed at the dramatic recovery of mobility and encouraged me to continue treatments. The office is clean and very serene/peaceful for relaxation. There is a massage therapist who also works out of the office.

I am a surgeon specializing in microsurgery. I injured my left arm and although still able to function was experiencing intense (8 out of 10) pain while healing. Conventional anti-inflammatory and pain medicines plus rest did little to alleviate my pain. Upon a neighbor's recommendation, I saw Dr Ueno yesterday. His office is tidy and pleasant, and Sachiko at the front desk treated me graciously. Dr Ueno has a calming, reassuring bedside manner. I saw Dr Ueno for fertility issues. Unfortunately, I had to move and was unable to see him for longer than a few months. In that time, while I did not become pregnant, ALL of my PMS issues were resolved. There was no doubt that something positive was happening within my body. I wish I had been able to continue seeing him. The facility is lovely - modern and clean, and I never had to wait for an appointment. Despite being stuck with needles - I really enjoyed coming here!! His wife at the desk is such a sweetheart, and I miss discussing how cute our dogs are :) I highly recommend.

The acupuncture routine included Minku's "body manipulation" and helped us a lot with my chronic lower back pain, Lyme disease, Migraine...etc and my husband who had back issues (Ruptured/herniated discs, arthritis...etc) that resulted in recommendations to get surgery. But with the combination of acupuncture and body manipulation, he was able to put off the surgical option.
Unfortunately for us, Minku left the practice in 2017 and since then somehow my symptoms were just getting worse.

My wife and I are on an extended visit from California. Back home we have been under regular chiropractic care for neck, shoulder, knee, and back issues. Tetshu is an amazing TCM doctor! I worked with him in his internship in Austin Texas, he knows his stuff!! Very polite, caring and thorough. He listens to the patient, explains the symptoms, the treatment and the reason behind the patient symptoms. His treatments are safe, clean and spot on! Give him a try and you will see!
