Services
Our professional and passionate event staff provides clients with dedicated attention, working day and night (literally) to make sure that your event exceeds your expectations. Janice Boes is the founder and CEO of Garboes Group Incorporated (including Pierpont Place and Premier Events)! She is a California native who moved to Utah in 1989 to pursue a business degree at the University of Utah.
Pierpont Place and Premier Event Services are separate (but closely related) sister-companies under Garboes Groups Incorporated. Pierpont Place is our award winning venue, and Premier Event Services is our offsite event services company. With our stellar design team and quality equipment, both companies offer a full-service, flexible, and exceptional experience.
While we think the space at Pierpont Place is unbeatable for any occasion, we realize that some events must take place outside of our beloved venue. That's why we have Premier Event Services, our sister company, to take care of all of your offsite event needs. With Premier Event Services, we can take all of our services, dcor, and talented staff with us to the location of your choice.

Janice and the entire Pierpont Place staff were amazing! The Salt Lake Bike Collective held it's third annual Bike Prom at the venue after having worked with Janice the year prior as bar staff. They stepped it up and put the prior year to shame. Pierpont handled food, DJ, decor and bar. As well as staffing for the set up, take down and everything in between.

We had our wedding at Pierpont this winter and Marissa and her team made it the most magical night ever! Pierpont is a great location making it convenient for out of town guests to stay at nearby hotel and walk to the event. We also loved that they had their own florist, caterer, DJ, and decor set up so you didn't have to coordinate with as many people and it helped keep the stress of wedding planning to minimum.
Marissa answered every question I had along the way and was always accessible. They allowed us to change details up until the week before which was very appreciated due to the ever-changing

My event coordinator was Marissa Diaz. She was absolutely incredible, my entire process was 5 months long and she answered every single question and concern big or small that i brought to her. She met with me numerous times to insure that all our needs would be met on the big day.

We just had our wedding at Pierpont Place Aug 2021. We worked with Marissa and I truly could not say enough good about our experience. From the moment we met and planned everything to the moment we left the venue on our wedding day it was perfect. She listened and Brought to life all of my wedding dreams and more. They handled all of it- decor, flowers, DJ, food, bar, send off, etc. We barely had to lift a finger.

This place is absolutely phenomenal for events! I actually have had the pleasure of attending musical events as well as a wedding hear and time the whole place was transformed to suit the specific occasion and done beautifully! From the food and it's presentation, to the artistic and exquisite flower arrangements, the owner Janice is fantastically attentive when it comes to even the smallest of details and goes out of her way to really make you feel very special!

I'm so happy to make the decision to have held my wedding at Pierpoint Place! If I could I would give more stars to this review. My husband and I chose to do a steampunk theme wedding for Valentine's day. Our wedding planner, Marissa, was sweet and attentive to our needs and expectations of our wedding day, and her team supported her beautifully. We recently had a corporate event at Pierpont Place and Taylor and the team there took our expectations and blew them out of the water! It was a pirate themed party and the level of detail and time that they put into creating an incredible experience for our clients was unbelievable. There were so many touches that went above and beyond, and the team that executed the event were top notch. The DJ that was recommended was brilliant! He was fun and accessible energy that everyone loved. We also had a photo booth and the vendor they used was great. The bartenders were slammed and yet were having fun

The team at Pierpont Place really know how to take a wedding couple's vision and bring it to life! As a wedding photography, my experience working with the PP team has been nothing short of aces. The communication is quick and stress-free,. The decor for the wedding I photographed there was top notch, striking a balance between being elegant and modern. The overall ambiance and attention to detail was ideal. PP makes a wonderful and intimate wedding venue, and from a professional and personal level, I highly recommend it!

Thanks to Janice and her team for helping create many amazing events for my company and my favorite organizations. We have hosted events that range in size from 25 to 300! Pierpont Place is my top recommendation for hosting great events of any size in downtown SLC!

This is a great venue for small events and parties about 100 people. The decoration are bright but not excessive. The bartenders are fun and amicable. The acoustics decent for a mingling party. The buffet was decent and on par with my expectations for a buffet.

I went to this place as part of my wife's company's year end party and boy i was impressed. I have been to many event and part planning spaces but this was for a change refreshingly very chic, urban and had a modern yet classy ambience to it.
The location was centrally located in downtown salt lake and was very easy to spot and close to I-15, behind P.F.Chang's and near zest restaurant.
I saw some comments about the interior giving an industrial feel but i personally did not notice or get such feel much as the overall interior was still classy. The place is a neat long place

My wife and I had a magnificent wedding! Janice and her outstanding team (Taylor, Ashley, and Mel) were able to work with us to create a stress free and perfect Wedding!!! We live in California and Janice was able to help us get everything we needed set up with only one prior visit to fly out and do tastings. She communicated excellently via email and telephone prior to the event to get exactly what we wanted.
She was able to help us arrive at a cohesive vision with our vague desires, she kept us on schedule and helped us set boundaries to meet our budget. She knew how to manage the timing

I have attended several events at Pierpont, as well as hosted one, and each time I leave overjoyed. The venue has decor that will make your jaw drop! I love what the bar staff creates for specialty cocktails! The space is large, modern, and unique. It's refreshing to have a venue downtown that is a one stop shop! They provide everything! Food, music, decor, bar, you name it!!

I have enjoyed many amazing events at Pierpont Place including work gatherings, birthday parties, premier event parties and weddings. Everytime we enter Pierpont it has transformed into a new venue! The lighting and decor creates dramatic effects to enhance any type of gathering. The staff is always attentive and professional. Janice worked with us to make sure every detail was covered and then some. She made the planning process stress free. Compared to the other event spaces in the valley she is worth every penny.

My husband and I had the last wedding that Pierpont Place was going to do for the year of 2012. As they said, since it's the last wedding of the year, we gotta make it the best wedding of the year!
They were soooo helpful in trying to keep the price down because we were on a small budget and couldnt really afford a $50,000 wedding.
I loved the intimate and cozy feeling of the place. They went out of their way to make my night not only special for me and my husband, but for the guests since it is such a different but unique atmosphere.

As an event center Pierpont Place is not what I would call "gorgeous" or "beautiful". It looks like an industrial warehouse with bare concerete floors, exposed brick, and metal beams that has been converted into an event center. What this ultimately means for someone planning an event is you have a blank canvas on which you can decide how you want it to look and be decorated. For as Kelie mentioned in her review, "The real value here is that they will deck the place out with an original, creative scheme for your event, and they have just about everything your heart desires

This space is eclectic and fun!! Very versatile as you could dress it up or down depending on your specific needs. Yes, there is a bit of an industrial flavor there, yet it is very classy in the lighting and overall atmosphere. The younger crowd could really get down and party here and yet an older more sophisticated group would feel totally comfortable here as well.

First off, it should be made clear that this review comes from the point of view of attendee and not event planner/coordinator. I haven't dealt with the people behind Pierpont, but rather been to an event at Pierpont. So if I ever do plan an event here (which *ahem* I'd love to do) I'll be sure to fill in the deets from the other side.
What I can say is that I really dig this space. Located on one of the most personality-filled streets in the city, it's just crawling with character. I'm unfamiliar with the history of the building, but would love to know the backstory.
