Prejean Winery
The Finger Lakes is the largest and most well-regarded winemaking area in the eastern United States, and it owes much of its recognition to the depth of the lakes, the steep slopes of the surrounding hills, and the moderate environment. These and other aspects make for superior viticulture in the Finger Lakes.

Lots of varietals thrive in this climate, however the Finger Lakes Rieslings are particularly esteemed by wine lovers. Seneca Lake has some of the most beautiful vineyards that go for numerous acres on the sloping hills that surround the lake. At Prejean Winery, we honor the tradition of winemaking that has been handed down for almost a thousand years.

I have visited this winery several times over the past 10 years and my palate has changed but I have always liked their wine. This was the very winery I ever visited when I turned 21 so obviously I only liked sweet wines then and they had stuff I liked then (don't ask me what now). Then when I was 24 it was my first stop for cursing the lake and I enjoyed their wine then. Now at 31 almost 32 (eek) I still very much enjoy their wines. I am a lover of dry Riesling's and theirs hits the spot. It's very affordable priced ($14.99 for a bottle) plus I do enjoy their reds as well. I know

My husband and I stumbled upon Prejean because it is one of the only wineries open until 5:30 on Thursdays and we're so glad we did! We split a tasting and enjoyed all of the wines, particularly the rose. We spent awhile chatting with our pourer, which is one of my favorite parts of the wine tasting experience. This was a relaxing way to end our day of wine tasting.

"Wine" - we had an excellent time at their wine tasting. There tasting consists of 5 1/12 oz pours and tried 4 reds and 1 white. All for $10. The grounds are beautiful and they grow their own grapes. We didn't realize that NY state is ranked 4th in number of wineries in the country. Also, learned that Rt 14 has almost a third of all the wineries in the state. Incredible. You feel your in Napa!

Had such a great time at Prejean! We visited over Memorial Day. The weather was not great so we opted to sit inside. We brought our dog and the staff was so sweet to him. We tried multiple tastings through their flight options. Overall really really loved the dry Riesling and ethereal wine. I had such a great time I only took one pic apparently this place also had a few beer options which was great as my husband isn't a huge wine person

I visited this winery last Wednesday and by far it was my favorite winery I've been to on Seneca Lake. By no means am I a wine connoisseur, but I definitely enjoy a tasty drink. My friend and I both got a tasting of 5 wines each. All of the wines were delicious, but my personal favorite was Tiger Lily. It was a perfect blush wine in my opinion. Not only was the wine delicious but the service was stellar. The server was personable and so so kind, making an effort to develop a connection with us. The setting was quite beautiful as well, with beautiful outdoor seating under a gazebo. An extremely

I really loved this winery on my trip to the Finger Lakes last year. Their Chardonnay is out of this world, and I also really liked their Rieslings, both the semi-dry and the semi-sweet. The wine tasting room is spacious with a beautiful sprawling porch with amazing views. Plus, the winery is dog friendly. A great place to stop for a glass or two while taking a drive and exploring the area.

Solid winery option. They make sweet and dry wines. Being a dry wine fan, I especially liked their Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Red Lotus. They're a popular winery, so they do get fairly busy, so a reservation might be advised.

One of my favorite winery stops along Seneca lake. Lots of outside seating with a tasting available table side. We were greeted and served immediately! Very happy to enjoy some local craft beers... all were really good.

Beautiful atmosphere and the views off the surrounding rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for an amazing weekend getaway with the girls. Bathroom was clean and well stocked, the staff were great with all the covid guidelines but still providing a wonderful experience!

The guy that served us was very friendly and pleasant. During covid we were still able to social distance and still have a good time. Would recommend if you are staying in Penn Yan only 11min away.

Lovely winery, good Chardonnay's and Riesling's and sweet wines. We really enjoyed our time with the Prejean's, our sommeliers. We didn't get to taste the Steuben beer because of COVID-19, but I'm sure that would be good too. I highly suggest stopping at this family-run winery for a personal experience.

I must admit that this was our 8th winery of the day, so some of the wines are a little foggy.

The wine themselves were very good. My wife, father, and I prefer dry wines; and their dry wines were very good. My Mother prefers sweeter wines, and she said she enjoyed their wines. None of the wines really stood out as a great wine, but this was the 8th winery of the day, so my palate was gone.

The server was very knowledgeable of the wines and very friendly

A group of friends and myself were doing a bunch of wineries up and down the lake. Nice winery to stop at oneSeneca Lake. The staff was so friendly and were great conversation. There were several wines which were very tasty. We loved their hand painted wine glasses. We bought one with a Golden Finch on it; that's my favorite bird. We also noticed it was dog friendly. The tasting room was gorgeous. Suggest stopping here.

We've been going to Prejean every wine trip for many years. (It's actually usually our first stop.) The people are super friendly and the place is unpretentious. The wine is consistently good and has a variety of price points.

The tasting is affordable - 5 (or more) for $5 and you get a coupon for a couple bucks off if you buy a bottle.

I love their cabs and they also do a Marechal Foch that is very good. I'm a mostly dry red girl, but everything they have is reported to be good by friends and family.

Looking for a friendly and fun place for some wine tasting? This is the spot! Not only are the folks here welcoming, they are personable too! They took there time to explain how the different types of wine that were created here and made recommendations based on our preferences. They also have a small front patio and outdoor tables and chairs for people to hang out. (:
Must-try: Prejean White Lotus- a semi-sweet white wine with grapefruit and orange aromas; best served chilled. Super refreshing! (All of us bought a bottle!)

A quaint and quiet type winery with a friendly staff to taste some good wines. Many were more on the dry and sweeter side, and should be served chilled.

It's a winery kind of on the smaller side, but with a nice selection, and laid back vibe to come in and do a tasting. Some quality white wines here such as their Reisling and Gewurztraminer, along with a selection of dry and sweeter reds.

An amazing discovery here was a wine that we were told is great to make frozen slushies with! Yup - we were even given the recipe. Their Cabana Frank wine made as a slushy with ice and sherbert.
